Who is the next Bachelor? These 4 guys are top contenders
By Ruby Maxwell
The big reveal of the next Bachelor star is just a few weeks away. Who will hand out roses in January 2019? Here are the top contenders!
Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette comes to an end on August 6 and fans are already trying to figure out which one of her guys will become the next Bachelor.
There’s a good chance we’ll see one of Becca’s frontrunners handing out roses at the Bachelor mansion in January. However, there’s at least one guy under consideration who is not from Becca’s season.

The big reveal is still a few weeks away. Chris Harrison is expected to make the announcement in late August or early September — most likely towards the end of the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
In the past, the name of ABC’s new leading man has leaked out online. However, in recent seasons, producers have done a good job at keeping the name of the new Bachelor under wraps (Nick Viall, Arie Luyendyk, Jr.).
We won’t know for sure who the 2019 Bachelor is until ABC makes an official announcement, but we won’t be shocked to see one of these guys dating 28 (or more) ladies in January.
Jason Tartick
Becca dumped Jason without letting him spend the night in the Fantasy Suite. If he becomes the next Bachelor, he’ll get a great consolation prize — a chance to go to the Fantasy Suite three times with three different ladies.
Fans love Jason — he’s easy on the eyes, funny, and he has a real job. What a relief — he’s a corporate banker, not an online fitness instructor.
Ben Higgins
Yes, it’s true. Ben may come back for another shot at finding love on TV. He was well-loved by most fans, but is once enough? After all, he wasn’t ready when he was on Bachelor Winter Games and there are rumors that he is STILL dating Lindsay Duke, although he’s never confirmed that.
During a recent Almost Famous podcast, Ashley Iaconetti joked that Ben would leave the podcast to become the next Bachelor. Ben didn’t confirm or deny that he’d take the gig, so time will tell if we see Bachelor Ben 2.0.
Colton Underwood
Becca sent Colton home after their hometown date. He recently talked about his departure from the show on the Almost Famous Podcast, stating that he didn’t think Tia was the sole reason Becca sent him home.
He will appear on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, so it might be overkill to have him go from Paradise to the Bachelor. Then again, Nick Viall did just that after breaking off his Paradise relationship with Jen Saviano.
There’s always the virgin storyline that may, or may not, make Colton a top contender for the Bachelor gig. But first, we have to see how things turn out with Tia in Paradise.
SPOILER ALERT — the next contender for The Bachelor is still on Becca’s season…
Blake Horstmann
Blake is one of Becca’s final two guys. The spoilers could be wrong, but all signs point to Garrett winning Becca’s final rose.
His heartbreaking exit (because you KNOW there will be tears) may lead him right back to the mansion this winter — we think he may top the list to become the next Bachelor.
Then again, producers have surprised us before, so we’re counting down the days to find out who is crowned The Bachelor 2019.
Watch The Bachelorette finale at 8 p.m. ET on August 6, followed by the season premiere of Bachelor in Paradise on August 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
