Shortly before the overnight dates rose ceremony, a mystery man shows up at Bachelorette Becca’s hotel room. Who is this guy and what does he want?

Two weeks before The Bachelorette season finale airs on ABC, Becca Kufrin will spend the night with her final three guys in Thailand. The overnight dates episode is always an emotional one, but a visit from a guy from Becca’s past may make this the most dramatic episode ever.

Will the mystery man make Becca change her mind about who she sends home tonight? And who is the mystery guy? Is it Becca’s ex-boyfriend, Ross Jirgl, or someone else? Here’s the scoop!

Drama ahead!?

Spoilers ahead as well…

Per ABC: “Shortly before the rose ceremony, a mystery man shows up at Becca’s hotel room. What does he want? Will this last-minute bombshell derail Becca’s search for love?”

ABC’s latest previews for The Bachelorette show Becca freaking out on her bed (alone). We hear her saying she did “the same thing Arie did” and she starts sobbing.

If you’ve been watching the Bachelorette as long as I have (season 1!), you know producers edit the footage to make fans think that something really big is about to go down. When the episode airs, it’s not really as dramatic as the preview indicates.

But, the thought of some ex-boyfriend drama is pretty exciting, isn’t it?

Prepare to be disappointed

Becca’s ex, Ross Jirgl, won’t show up in Thailand. That would be ridiculous since she sent him packing on Arie’s season, got engaged, and didn’t go back to him after her breakup with Arie.

Instead, I’m counting on the “mystery man” to be someone who doesn’t want Becca back. He’s there for the “we’ve both moved on speech” and to give Becca some pointers on how to not screw up the finale. Not that she will listen.

I think former Bachelor star, and Becca’s ex-fiance, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. is the mystery man.

Here’s why…

Last month, Becca told Us Weekly that Arie makes a “quick appearance” this season. Since he hasn’t shown up so far, he clearly took a flight to Thailand to have a totally unnecessary chat with Becca.

“I’m not going to give anything away or when it happens, but it’s a conversation that had to happen,” she said.

Here’s how I assume their conversation will go.

“I’m sorry producers talked me into breaking up with you on TV. I wish they didn’t force us to sit there awkwardly for 45 minutes so they could boost ratings for my season.”

“It’s okay, Arie, I have three guys here who are totally into me. Even though I barely know any of them, I’m ready to get engaged and hope my new ring is bigger than the one you gave me!”

They’ll hug it out, Arie will leave, and Becca will go dump one guy (spoiler in link) who has a 1 in 3 shot at becoming the next Bachelor.

UPDATE

The “mystery man” was Jason!?!?! Okay, I was wrong, but he wasn’t really a mystery man. But, hang tight — Becca confirmed that Arie will show up this season, so I guess he’ll make an appearance on the finale (August 6).
