Former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay, and her fiancé, Bryan Abasolo feel they owe it to their fans to get married on TV.

When Rachel Lindsay got engaged on the August 2017 The Bachelorette season finale, she initially thought she wanted a small, simple ceremony. Almost one year after she said “yes” to Bryan Abasolo’s proposal, Rachel has changed her mind and is hoping ABC will pay for her big day.

And it’s not just Rachel who wants to get married on TV. Bryan is totally on-board with tying the knot with cameras rolling.

Rachel and Bryan have both have been doing their part to stay in the spotlight since they got engaged last year, including an appearance on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette.

We’re not sure if Rachel gave up practicing law, but she recently made an appearance on ESPN’s First Take. Perhaps a new career in sports media is in store for the former Bachelorette?

And Bryan, who has appeared on the CBS talk show, The Doctors, is now modeling for Wilhemena. Apparently, he’s not working as a chiropractor anymore?

So, when’s the TV wedding?

Last week, Bryan told People magazine, “We’re just waiting to hear from the show!”

That means ABC has yet to make an offer, but the couple is hoping it happens sooner than later.

“We feel like we owe it to the fans that followed us on the show to give them that,” Lindsay told People. She went on to reveal her ideas for her wedding if ABC were to splurge on her big day.

“I never thought I would have a big wedding,” Rachel said. “Now, I’m thinking, if the network is paying for it, I want a great band performing.”

Bachelor wedding special in the works?

Bachelor Arie Luyendyk, Jr is getting married to Lauren Burnham in January. While their wedding will be private, ABC exec Robert Mills said they will include their wedding “in some way” in an upcoming Bachelor special.

Perhaps producers will offer Rachel and Bryan the same thing — film a portion of their private wedding and show it on an upcoming episode of the 2019 Bachelor or a show-related special.

One thing is for sure – their wedding won’t be on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise. Filming has wrapped and we’re hearing Ashely and Jared’s engagement is the center of attention on the show.

As for a big, televised wedding like Sean and Catherine Lowe had, we can’t imagine ABC is going to throw a zillion dollar televised special for any recent couples from the show, including Rachel and Bryan.
