Bachelorette Becca Kufrin is giving conflicting reports as to why she walked away when Colton admitted he is a virgin.
Colton isn’t the first virgin cast by Bachelor and Bachelorette producers. For some reason, they love making virginity a hot topic, as if sleeping with three contestants in the Fantasy Suite is more socially acceptable. Eye roll.
Colton’s admission shouldn’t have been a big deal. In fact, it wasn’t even necessary for anyone to know that — or it should have been a private conversation. BUT, this is reality TV and it’s all about ratings, right? And what about Becca’s reaction? Here’s where things get a bit confusing…

After the Colton is a virgin episode aired on Monday, July 9, Becca blogged about the moment Colton revealed he is a virgin.
If you didn’t watch the episode, Colton talked about his virginity during the second part of their one-on-one date in the Bahamas. They sat down for dinner and he talked about his choice to remain a virgin. Moments after his admission, Becca got up from the table and said she “needed a moment.”
Becca can’t get her story straight
Now, the Bachelorette is talking about her reaction to the news, but she’s telling two different stories.
After the episode aired, Becca tweeted that she needed to excuse herself to go to the bathroom.
Now, that sounds completely reasonable — but producers made it seem like she couldn’t handle the news.
After she tweeted about her bathroom break, Becca changed her story about why she got up from the table. In her blog, she states that she “needed a moment to think.”
In her People blog, Becca stated, “When he opened up and told me that he was still a virgin, I was surprised. I took a moment to myself to think. To me, virginity is a meaningful thing, and I respect him for holding that so sacred. That being said, I am taking this process very seriously and I know Colton is as well.”
It sure sounds like Becca needed to go to the bathroom and producers took the opportunity to twist it into a dramatic moment. What did she have to think about? Why couldn’t she think about it at the table?
Why did she tells fans she got up to use the bathroom and take a different stance in her blog?
Bottom line, she didn’t need to think about anything. Becca seems to have the hots for Colton, but, other than that, there’s zero chemistry between them. Her heart was set on one guy from night one and we’re fairly certain Colton isn’t “falling in love” with Becca.
Stay tuned for more unbelievable drama when Colton’s hometown date ends with an interesting twist.
