By Ruby Maxwell
Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr and his fiancée, Lauren Burnham are on their way to Arizona in a car stuffed with Lauren’s belongings and a special guest!
Despite rumors that Bachelor Arie and Lauren won’t make it to the altar, they seem to be having a great time together. And there’s nothing like a 2,000-mile road trip to put your relationship to the test!
On Thursday, the newly-engaged couple started their trip from Virginia to Arie’s home in Arizona. They are documenting their trip on social media, sharing Instagram live stories and a super cute picture that includes Lauren’s dog, Dallas.
Yes, Dallas is the special guest! He’ll soon meet his new pal, Arie’s dog Bastian. And judging from Lauren’s Instagram story, Bastian better get ready — Dallas has lots of energy.
Seriously, this picture gives off some serious love vibes.

It’s been almost a month since Arie proposed during the Bachelor: After the Final Rose special and they seem to be doing the right thing — sharing a few pics with fans, but mostly keeping to themselves. Smart move!
Before they started their road trip to Arizona, Arie and Lauren traveled to Iceland and Barcelona. When they returned to the U.S., they stopped to pack up Lauren’s belongings at her family’s home in Virginia Beach.
Their engagement started with some controversy, but judging from their pictures, they are enjoying their time together.
After they settle into Arie’s apartment (with two dogs!), they may get started on their wedding plans.
They have yet to set an exact date, but they have confirmed they plan to get married in August or September.
Arie said they may do a destination wedding, but the couple isn’t ruling out a televised wedding, if ABC agrees.
Lauren’s mom, Pamela, tells Life & Style that it would be “wonderful” if the network helped pay for the wedding and her husband would “jump up and down at that thought!”
