Bachelor Arie and Lauren relationship update: Travel, family, and a big move!

It’s been almost three weeks since Arie proposed to Lauren on the Bachelor After the Final Rose. Are they still head-over-heels in love?
The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr proposed to Lauren Burnham during the live After the Final Rose special on March 6. Since then, the couple has been rather low-key about their relationship. While most couples who get engaged on the show stay in the media for weeks after the finale, Arie and Lauren have been steering clear of the spotlight.
Some fans may see that as a sign that they won’t make it to the altar. But we’re convinced — at least for now — that Arie and Lauren are doing the right thing. And we totally think he wasn’t the right match for Becca Kufrin, who is dating 28 guys who were cast for her season of the Bachelorette.
Arie and Lauren’s romantic trip around the globe
Since the Bachelor wrapped up earlier in the month, Arie and Lauren have shared a few photos of their time together. They spent a few days at Arie’s home in Arizona. Then the took off for a whirlwind (and VERY romantic!) trip to Iceland. And that’s not all…
After they spent time in Iceland, the newly-engaged couple traveled to beautiful Barcelona, Spain. They stayed at the luxurious Iberostar Paseo de Gracia hotel.
Let’s just say that Arie isn’t hurting for money. A basic room at the hotel is around $2500 a night and they stayed in a two-floor suite (about $3600 per night).
Where are Arie and Lauren headed next?
Although Arie and Lauren said they would take a break from social media, they did a good job of sharing a few photos and live Instagram stories during their trip.
They didn’t promote any products (hooray!) and they showed just enough of their trip to keep fans in-the-know.
Although their international trip is over, there’s much more in store for the lovebirds…

“I know our social media ‘break’ has been a topic of conversation,” Lauren tells People. “We have just been excited to share our life outside of The Bachelor with everyone since we’ve been having so much fun! The break we mentioned was more directed towards spending time reading comments, not about posting pictures.”
Arie and Lauren are now headed to Virginia to spend time with her family.
After that, she said they are going to “start the big move to Arizona.”
Arie currently lives in Arizona where he works as a realtor. They are going to settle into his place where their everyday life after The Bachelor will begin.
And no, they haven’t set a wedding date, but we suspect they won’t wait too long.
Whether they are thinking about a TV wedding or a private affair, we’re sure the couple will keep us in-the-know when the wedding planning begins.
It sure sounds like they are doing things right — and they look incredibly happy together. Here’s to hoping the whole mess of a season turns into a Bachelor success story.
