Corinne sets the record straight about her relationship with DeMario

Bachelor in Paradise contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson were spotted holding hands in Disneyland last week. What the deal?

Corinne and DeMario shook things up on Bachelor in Paradise this summer. Now that the show is over, many fans are wondering if it was all done to increase the ratings on the Bachelor spinoff.

Just a few weeks after the Paradise finale aired on ABC, Corrine and DeMario were spotted holding hands in Disneyland. They certainly looked like a happy couple and didn’t try to hide the fact they were together. Are they just putting on a show for the cameras or are they dating?

No longer a victim

When production was shut down in June, Corinne claimed that she was “victim.” She never explained what she meant by that, instead pointing to a prescription drug as the reason for her actions on the Paradise set.

After the shutdown, filming resumed and DeMario defended his actions in a television interview with E! News. Corinne remained silent until her interview with Chris Harrison that aired during an episode of Bachelor in Paradise. Everything was fine, she didn’t seem to be a victim anymore, and she called the whole situation “annoying.”

During the Bachelor in Paradise finale, Corinne and DeMario hugged it out. Corinne tells ET that they had dinner after the finale and talked about the situation. The paparazzi later Corinne hanging all over DeMario as if the whole Paradise thing never happened.

Off to Disneyland

With Paradise behind them, the duo spent the day at Disneyland last week. It didn’t take long for photos to surface of them holding hands. While holding hands doesn’t mean you’re in a relationship, many fans jumped to that conclusion.

Corinne cleared things up by telling ET that they are “just friends” and they are “not dating.” Well, just friends who were once half-naked in a hot tub in Mexico.

She went on to say that DeMario is “like a brother” to her and she sees nothing wrong with holding hands with her brother-friend.

Just friends

“DeMario and I are close friends,” Corinne told ET. “We are not dating. We were hanging out with a group at Disneyland, and I have no problem holding hands with any of my friends. Since things with Bachelor in Paradise wound down, DeMario and I talk almost every day.”

Corinne went on to say, “We both know neither of us made the complaint that started everything, so why wouldn’t we be friends? We’ve been able to move forward and he’s like a brother to me.”

Corinne is currently jetting back and forth from Miami to Los Angeles to work on her own TV show that hasn’t been picked up by any networks.

We fully expect to see more pics of her with her friend DeMario whenever she’s in L.A.
