‘Bachelorette’ spoilers wrong? Peter going home in Switzerland, next ‘Bachelor’ reveal coming soon?

The Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and her six remaining guys head to Switzerland on Monday night, just one week before the all-important hometown dates.

It’s crunch time for Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay. On Monday night (July 10), she will send two guys home and choose four guys who will move on to the hometown dates. Although the frontrunners this season are painfully obvious, ABC is doing a good job misleading us about the fate of one contestant — Peter Kraus. Is an early “next Bachelor” announcement in the works?

It’s clear that Rachel has a connection with Peter, especially when they are in a hot tub. But ABC’s video teaser (below) for Episode 7 has us a bit confused — they are baiting us with what looks like Peter’s exit. And to add to the confusion, Rachel revealed in Bachelorette blog that she has a major meltdown in Switzerland. She can’t be sad about ditching Matt and Adam – no way.

Six guys head to Switzerland on Episode 7 — Peter, Matt, Adam, Bryan, Eric, and Dean. That’s one heck of a good-looking group of men. Rachel didn’t fool around when she narrowed her cast of 31 down to 6. However, we’re still a bit puzzled about Matt and Adam. No one-on-one dates, no real interaction. Did they kiss Rachel? We don’t know.

Enough talk about Matt and Adam. Back to Peter.

Is Peter’s early exit part of the producers’ master plan?

Without reading spoilers, it’s clear that Rachel will pick Peter, Bryan, Eric, and Dean as her final four. However, the teaser from ABC (below) has us wondering if Reality Steve got it wrong. Is Peter going home on Monday night? Twitter will freak out — but he’s a shoe-in for the next Bachelor and an early announcement may be in the works.

Our theory isn’t crazy. (Is it?)

More from Accept This Rose

“She’s got tears streaming down her face, and I blame myself for that,” Peter says in the clip below. What did you do, Peter??!!

Rachel stirs up more interest about an emotional goodbye in her People blog. She reveals that she has a “breakdown” in Switzerland like she’s “never had before.”

Is she crying her eyes out over Peter?!

Producers can splice and dice words so it appears that someone is heartbroken — even if they aren’t.

Peter could be talking about something that happens during a future episode. We won’t know ’til Episode 7 airs on Monday night.

What if Peter isn’t the runner-up?

Reality Steve‘s spoilers initially stated Rachel picked Peter during the final rose ceremony. Then he changed his spoilers to state Bryan proposed to Rachel and Peter was the runner-up.

What if Rachel dumped him before hometowns were filmed? That would give the network plenty of time to do an early “Here’s your next Bachelor” introduction on Jimmy Kimmel.

During Nick’s season, Rachel was announced as the next Bachelorette before she was dumped on the Bachelor. Producers have been changing things up in recent seasons, so it wouldn’t be a shocker to see Peter go home earlier than expected.

While it’s a long shot and we still expect to see Rachel break Peter’s heart on the Bachelorette finale, we would be thrilled to find out that he is the next Bachelor.

The Bachelorette Episode 7 airs at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, July 10.
