ABC has officially slated The Golden Bachelor for the 2023 fall TV lineup, and Bachelor Nation is simply thrilled. Although no exact premiere date has yet to be released, the fans and followers have been trying their darndest to find absolutely anything out about the highly anticipated spinoff series.

Regarding the cast of The Golden Bachelor, Bachelor Nation is desperate for information. Martha Stewart was one name being hopefully thrown around, and now, surprisingly, the mom of one of The Bachelor’s most popular and beloved stars has been circulating.

We’re talking about Matt James’ mother, Patty James!

Will Matt James’ mom be cast on ABC’S The Golden Bachelor?

Matt James made history in 2021 when he was the first Black Bachelor on the ABC franchise. From his handsome good looks to his fun and charming personality, James quickly became a fan favorite.

However, it is his mom that Bachelor Nation is suddenly talking about. A Bachelor Nation insider revealed that Patty James was in talks with The Golden Bachelor about joining the cast for the fall premiere.

A look back at Patty James on The Bachelor Season 25

Throughout James’ time on The Bachelor Season 25, his mother, who James is very close with, is best remembered for expressing her doubts about James’ relationships with any of the women ending in an engagement. Ultimately, in true mom-always-know fashion, James’ journey for love was not successful.

With that being said, could James’ mother have better luck than him? James’ parents split when he was young, and it seemed like a tough time for the reality TV star. On the flip side, it seems like his mom is overdue for a love story of her own.

On and off the screen, James has been well-known to celebrate, praise, and thank his mother, who raised him on her own, and he would likely be nothing of supportive of her time in the spotlight and on the screen.
