War of Roses: The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 3
Week three of The Bachelor Season 25 has aired, and Matt James has given out his date roses. Who do you think received them? And out of those women, who deserved it the most?
Another episode is in the books for The Bachelor Season 25, and we are here to discuss all of the women who received date roses this week from Matt James. There were a few chances for the women to snag a date rose, but it was Rachel Kirkconnell and Serena Pitt who came out on top.
There’s a lot to discuss and break down about all the roses given out this week, so without further ado, let’s get right into it!
The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 3: Group Date #1
We got to see a familiar face for this week’s group date, Ashley Iaconetti. Who could forget Ashley from Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, her two appearances on Bachelor in Paradise, and from The Bachelor Winter Games? She finally found love with her long time crush, Jared Haibon.
As for Matt’s women, Rachel, Bri Springs, Lauren Maddox, Kit Keenan, Serena Chew, Victoria Larson, Khaylah Epps, Anna Redman, Kaili Anderson, and Katie Thurston were all on the first group date of week 3.
The group date opened with Ashley reading an insert from Chris Harrison‘s erotic book The Perfect Letter. Yes, you read that right, erotic book. Ashley then explains that all of the women will have to write a love story featuring Matt. Not only do they have to write a steamy romance piece, but they also have to share this story in front of all the other women on this season.
Everyone seemed a bit uncomfortable at the start, saying it was a lot of pressure. I can imagine it is difficult for someone who isn’t usually open about their sex life. It was a bit awkward and cringy to start and I have to admit I laughed throughout Matt’s story. But hey, all of the girls did a great job and gave it their all, and Matt seemed to enjoy every last story.
Moving into the night, we saw Rachel talk to Matt first. I really like Rachel and I think Matt does too. Every single time they talk, their conversation seems to flow and they seem so smitten with each other. Bri also had a great chat with Matt, coming off of her one-on-one date last week. Both girls ended their chats with a kiss and I think we should all keep our eyes on these women as front runners.
The night seemed to be going really well until someone decided to show up–Sarah Trott. Look, I have no problem with people wanting extra time with Matt. But this early on, while you just had the most previous one-on-one date, it just doesn’t sit right with me. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who isn’t a fan of Sarah anymore. If she’s trying to piss off the other women, she’s doing a good job.
By the time the date was over, I had no clue who Matt was going to give this group date rose to. I think his head was scrambled from Sarah and a lot of his attention was taken away from the women who were actually on that date. Nonetheless, Rachel ended up getting the rose, which I think is a good choice for Matt because I really like her and they have a great connection.
But this date was sloppy…
The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 3: One-on-One Date: Serena Pitt
Serena Pitt got Matt’s third one-on-one date of the season, and I’ll admit, I really like this choice for our Bachelor. I think Serena P. comes off extremely genuine and kind. I was instantly drawn to her as one of Matt’s from runners on night one, simply because of how she carried herself. Up until now, she doesn’t seem to be caught up in all of the TV drama like some of the other women.
You know, like Victoria…
The date started with Matt going to see Sarah Trott in bed. Yes, on Serena P’s one-on-one date, Sarah got his initial attention and lips.
Anyways, the actual date started with Matt and Serena P. going on a horseback ride, the most picturesque fall date of the season so far. Both seemed to be enjoying each other’s company trotting through the woods, ending their ride with a picnic. They got the time to dive into each other’s lives, families, and future plans. The whole time I’m watching them, I’m just thinking about what a beautiful couple they are and what an amazing relationship they could have. The two seem to mesh very very well.
The night portion of their date went similar, both Matt and Serena P. opened up to one another more and more. The connection between the two seems to be growing, which is amazing. They spoke about their previous relationships and shared what they were looking for in the future.
At the end of the night, Matt leaned over, grabbed the rose, and asked Serena P. if she would accept. With a big grin on her face, she said yes, of course. I think this is one of the best choices Matt has made all season. Out of everyone, I think these two have the most genuine connection on The Bachelor Season 25 and I think we can all see that.
We will have to wait until next week to see what happens on the second group date and who goes home with that rose!
Until then, sound off below. Do you think Matt made the right choices in who he gave his roses to? Or do you think someone else deserved it more?
