The third episode of The Bachelor quickly managed to turn up the heat as host Chris Harrison made it his mission to push Matt James out of his comfort zone!

Warning minor spoilers from The Bachelor season 25 episode 3 ahead!

Hoping to push Matt out of his comfort zone, Chris took it upon himself to plan out the night’s various dates — each designed to get Matt to try something totally unexpected and new. In the first group night of the evening, Matt was joined by ten ladies for an r-rated group date which tasked the contestants selected for the date with writing their own erotica inspired by Matt.

Before the contestants had the chance to channel their E. L. James with some stories that might have even made Christian Grey blush,  Ashley Iaconetti set the stage in reading the excerpt from the romance novel The Perfect Letter which she proclaimed was written by none other than Bachelor host, Chris Harrison.

Is Chris Harrison really the author of The Perfect Letter?

Needless to say, our initial reaction to Ashley revealing the author of the expert she had just read was a sheer shock. Clearly, this had to be a joke/bit designed solely for the purpose of the date in having some fun setting the stage, right?

Surprisingly, though, Chris Harrison is indeed the author of The Perfect Letter, a romance novel about a young book editor who unexpectedly finds love after finally confronting her past.
