Who is Bachelorette contestant Clay Harbor and how far does he make it with Becca Kufrin? Will a group date rose make him a frontrunner?

Clay Harbor is quickly becoming a fan favorite on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. He’s good-looking, mild-mannered, and doesn’t stir up any drama.

Of course, being nice doesn’t always help you score the final rose. But it does put you in good graces with The Bachelorette fans and that may have some bearing on whether or not he tops the list to become the next Bachelor. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves …

More from Accept This Rose

Clay, 30, who grew up in Illinois, has played for five teams in the NFL, most recently as a tight end for the New Orleans Saints.

There are rumors that he didn’t apply and was recruited to come on The Bachelorette, but who cares? He’s easy on the eyes and a refreshing change from dramatic dudes like Jordan and Connor.

Clay is reportedly on the injured reserved list with the Saints, so he has plenty of time to appear on a reality TV show.

Unfortunately, it may be an injury he sustained on during a Bachelorette group date that ends his journey to find love with Becca.

Don’t fret. Clay’s time on TV won’t end anytime soon.

Spoiler alert

During episode 3, Clay gets the group date rose from Becca Kufrin. We’re not sure if she’s totally into Clay and we’re hoping it wasn’t a pity rose.

Spoilers point to Clay breaking his wrist during a football-themed group date. He heads to the ER but returns to snag the group date rose. However, he decides to give it back to Becca and leaves the show.

WHAT? Clay leaves? He’s one of the few guys on the show we actually like!

There’s good news, folks. Although ABC hasn’t released the official cast list for Bachelor in Paradise season 5, Clay is rumored to be one of several guys from Becca’s season who will be looking for “love” in Paradise this summer.
