Chris Harrison is on a mission to get Ben Higgins to say “yes” to becoming the Bachelor again.
Ben Higgins didn’t find love with Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and his engagement to Lauren Bushnell ended six months after he proposed on his season of The Bachelor. And love wasn’t in the cards for Ben during the Winter Games — he left the show early because he wasn’t ready to date on TV.
However, host Chris Harrison is still holding out hope that Ben will reconsider reprising his role as the Bachelor. While it’s possible the gig could go to one of Bachelorette Becca’s guys, Chris says Ben should make a comeback.
Ben and Lauren broke off their engagement in May 2017. Since then, Lauren has moved on. She recently revealed that she is ready to settle down and get married. But, she wants to marry her boyfriend, Devin Antin, not Ben.
When Ben filmed The Bachelor Winter Games in December, he seemed open to finding love again. Clearly, he wasn’t ready.
Ben left the show after telling Chris that while he was over Lauren, being back on TV brought back too many memories of their relationship.
Or maybe he was already dating someone when he went on the show?
Reality Steve states that Ben has been dating Lindsay Duke, who had a fling with Robby Hayes, since last summer. Ben has yet to confirm that he’s in a relationship with Lindsay.

Before Arie’s season started, Ben talked about becoming the Bachelor again during an episode of his podcast with Ashley Iaconetti.
“At this point in my life, I am not ready to be the next Bachelor, I will say that,” Ben said on his Ben & Ashley I podcast. “It just doesn’t feel right. For whatever reason, it doesn’t feel like a time in my life that I would be the best man possible for the women that would come on this season.”
Some time has passed, so we’re wondering if Ben will reconsider when producers start scoping out the Bachelor 2019.
Whether he takes the gig or not won’t be known until at least August, but we’re certain Chris Harrison will do his best to get Ben back in the Bachelor mansion ASAP.
“I would have Ben back as The Bachelor,” Chris told Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe on her Off the Vine podcast. “I don’t think Ben will come back he should…”
