Caroline reveals what Bachelor Arie did to his final pick — it’s heartbreaking!
By Ruby Maxwell
Caroline Lunny called Bachelor Arie Luyendyk out during The Bachelor Women Tell All. Now she’s explaining what she couldn’t say on TV.
Everyone needs a BFF like Caroline Lunny. During Sunday night’s Women Tell All, she made it clear that she knows exactly what happened after Bachelor Arie Luyendyk gave out his final rose. Although her words were a bit of a mystery to fans who are still in the dark about the upcoming finale, Caroline is now speaking out about what she calls the “worst heartbreak” in the history of the show.
Fans will soon understand why Caroline is standing up for the woman who will have to re-live her failed engagement on national TV. [Spoilers ahead]
Brace yourself
Previews for the Bachelor season finale hint that one girl will be heartbroken, but that happens every season. However, Arie’s finale will be quite different — we will watch a breakup that was recorded on camera two MONTHS after he proposed in Peru.
Worse than watching Brad Womack (Season 11) dump both girls during the final rose ceremony? Yes.
Worse than Jason Mesnick ditching Melissa Rycroft and choosing runner up Molly Melaney (Season 13)? Yes.
Wait, worse than Jason?
Jason Mesnick was one of the most hated Bachelor stars in the history of the show when he ended his engagement to Melissa during a live TV special. The breakup with Melissa was staged — they split shortly after the finale and producers arranged for him to be embarrassed on national TV before he could reunite with Molly.
And, before we get to what Caroline has to say, Reality Steve revealed that Jason and Molly will appear on the Bachelor finale. Perhaps they will give a little moral support to the girl Arie dumped? Or the girl he ends up with? We shall see.

Caroline speaks out
After the Women Tell All, Caroline told the Hollywood Reporter that the outcome of the show is “so much worse than anything, ever, in Bachelor history — I feel like it is probably the worst heartbreak in the show’s history.”
When Caroline heard rumors about the breakup, she contacted her BFF from Arie’s season — otherwise known as the got her heart ripped out. She was able to confirm that the rumors were indeed true.
Although Caroline can’t reveal the name of the girl she is talking about, it’s clearly Becca Kufrin.
They became close friends on the show and they have continued their friendship off-camera. And Becca posted some rather heartbreaking posts on Instagram after Arie abruptly ended their engagement.
Spoilers reveal that Arie proposed to Becca after sending Lauren B. home during the final day of filming last November.
Keep in mind, he told both girls he was in love with them. We are NOT going to compare Arie to Ben Higgins — we don’t feel Arie is as genuine as Ben. Sorry.
Two month engagement
Becca and Arie were engaged when the Bachelor premiere aired in January. However, a few weeks into the season, Arie decided to end their engagement, something fans will see play out during Monday’s finale. That’s because a camera crew went with him to tape the breakup.
Fans will also see Arie reconnect with Lauren — they reportedly got engaged last weekend in the same spot Jade and Tanner got married. UGH!
Having a change of heart is okay, but Caroline is upset with how Arie handled it.
Caroline told E! News that she didn’t think it was true when she first heart rumor that Arie broke off the engagement. Now that she knows for sure, she’s furious.
“I had heard a little rumor along the way. I then called and I had gotten that confirmation and I was furious, honestly. You’ll see why. I’m heartbroken the way things went down, the way he handled it. I think it could’ve been handled much better and it wasn’t.”
“It hurts my heart”

If Arie wasn’t 100% sure, why did he propose? Of course, he’ll give some lame reason during the Bachelor After the Final Rose special, but will fans believe him?
Although producers like to have an engagement and a happy ending, we can’t help but think they needed to add some drama to Arie’s rather boring season.
If they did talk Arie into proposing to Becca, shame on them.
However, if Arie proposed because Becca was a safe choice, shame on him pretending he was in it for the long haul. Because we don’t think he was….
