Bachelor Arie Luyendyk got engaged when the season finale was filmed. Two months after he proposed, producers filmed him taking the ring back.

If you think Arie’s season of the Bachelor is boring, that’s about to change. Arie will propose to his final pick during the March 5 finale, but their off-camera relationship will be brief. Their breakup prompted producers to add footage to the finale that includes Arie breaking up with the girl he got engaged to and a reunion with his runner-up.

Most dramatic finale ever? Count on it. The video below hints at how things will go down during the newly-revised ending. Then there’s the live After the Final Rose special when Arie will face the girl he dumped two months after the finale. And we’ll also find out what his plans are with his runner-up-turned-final-rose-winner. Here’s what we know so far about this hot mess.

Initial spoilers pointed to Becca Kufrin getting engaged to Arie during the final rose ceremony. Keep in mind, the finale was filmed in November, so it’s been a few months since he proposed in Peru.

When the season got underway, blogger Reality Steve confirmed that Becca and Arie were still engaged. There were even hints on their Instagram stories they together — quite possibly at one of the houses producers set up for Bachelor winners so they can spend time together while the season airs.

In mid-January, rumors surfaced about Arie breaking off his engagement to Becca. He was spotted at the home of his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, with producers vans in her driveway.

It sounded like just another tabloid rumors until Steve confirmed that Bachelor producers (and their cameras) were with Arie when he was reunited with Lauren B. at her parent’s house.

They also filmed his breakup with Becca, something that had to be painful for the girl who thought she was going to marry the 36-year-old race car driver.

Arie recently revealed that he’s “very happy” with the outcome, but we have to wonder how angry/upset Becca is.

“I’m really happy with the outcome, but the ending was hard for me,” Arie told Access Hollywood. “It’s going to be difficult to watch back, but I’m happy now so I’m glad I did it.”

Glad you “did it”?? Ouch.

As if breaking off an engagement after two months and pulling a (Jason) Mesnick by getting back together with his runner-up was no big deal?!

If you haven’t watched ABC’s Bachelor finale teaser video, take a look below

The video clip ABC released earlier in the season showed Arie confused about his final pick when he ex-boyfriend showed up. However, he still proposed and she said yes.

The new video shows Arie sitting on a couch holding an engagement with a girl crying in the background (speed ahead to minute 9 in the video below)

That’s clearly Becca crying after he broke up with her in January.

Of course, ABC will make us wait ’til the March 5 finale to see if all play out, but it’s going to be ugly. Becca is already getting support from fans, and there is a buzz that she is now a top pick for the next Bachelorette.
