Who goes home on The Bachelor premiere tonight? Who gets Arie’s first impression rose?
By Ruby Maxwell
The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr begins his journey to find love tonight and it won’t take him long to figure out who to send home at the first rose ceremony.
Arie meets 29 girls on the Bachelor Season 22 premiere, but only 21 will remain by the end of the first episode. The girls will do their best to convince Arie that they are there for the right reasons, but by the time the first cocktail party ends, he will decide which girls have final rose potential.
Arie was known as the Kissing Bandit during Emily’s season of The Bachelorette, and he’ll live up to that name during the season premiere. And one girl who scores a kiss on night one also gets the coveted first impression rose.
But some of the girls aren’t quite so lucky. The Bachelor will send eight girls home during the first rose ceremony. Although we won’t remember who they are when the Women Tell All airs in a few months, knowing who goes home may help you cheat on your Bachelor bracket (kidding).
So, who got Arie’s first impression rose, and who are the eight girls who go home on the Bachelor season premiere? Here’s the scoop!
Yes, that means spoilers are ahead.
Arie’s first impression rose
Although there won’t be too much drama on the first night, fans can expect to see some grumbling about the girl who gets the first impression rose. Oh, and she gets a kiss, too, but not the only kiss of the night.

Chelsea Roy comes on strong during the first night in the Bachelor mansion. She pulls Arie aside twice at the cocktail party, and that doesn’t go over well with the other girls.
And, according to Reality Steve, Arie’s totally okay with Chelsea trying to monopolize his time — he gives her the first impression rose. However, time will tell if she reveals something important about herself that she didn’t tell Arie about when they first say down to chat.
“First impression rose goes to Chelsea, and as expected, a few of the girls aren’t happy,” Reality Steve writes. “Chelsea is totally humbled and takes it in stride. Kidding. Her response: ‘I’m not competitive by nature but if I see something I want, I go after it.'”
Who goes home on night one?
Spoilers point to eight girls leaving the show during the first rose ceremony. We’re going to go out on a limb here and predict that at least one of the girls will cry and say she’s heartbroken.
Here’s the list of girls who
we won’t remember
leave on Monday night:
Olivia Goethals, Bri Amaranthus, Ali Harrington, Brittane Johnson, Amber Wilkerson, Jessica Carroll, Nysha Norris, and Lauren Jarreau —one of four Lauren’s on Arie’s season.
Watch the Bachelor at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
