After getting his heart broken on the Bachelorette, Dean takes his own advice and ‘dates around’ on Bachelor in Paradise. It doesn’t end well.
Dean Unglert was a fan favorite on Rachel’s season of the Bachelorette but he may end up being one of the most controversial contestants on Bachelor in Paradise. We can’t imagine Dean intentionally hurting anyone but that’s what happens in when he gets hot and heavy with more than one girl.
When he arrives in Paradise, he tells producers the key to surviving Paradise is “dating around.” And that’s not a bad idea until you start sharing your bed with one girl at night and another during the day. Yeah, we’re talking love triangle here — get ready for some serious ugly crying.
Dean, what did you get yourself into? Seriously, stick to naming your favorite dinosaur because love triangles are so tricky. Especially when cameras are rolling.
Bachelor in Paradise spoilers ahead
When we found out about Dean’s Paradise conquests, we immediately blamed the whole DiMario/Corinne fiasco. If filming didn’t stop for two weeks we’re pretty sure he would have stayed in the relationship with one girl.
Kristina Schulman (Nick’s season) captured Dean’s heart shortly after they arrived in Paradise. According to Reality Steve, when filming stopped, Dean and Kristina left together. Apparently, they were a couple during the two-week hiatus.
When filming resumed, Dean went into Bachelor in Paradise survival mode. Otherwise known as double-dipping.
Although he was still interested in Kristina, he went on a date with Danielle Lombard (also from Nick’s season). The date went so well he decided to date both Kristina and Danielle. Ugh.
Paradise is like temptation island except the cast isn’t on an island. But they do live together.
Carrying on a relationship with two girls in one place? Great idea, said no one — ever.
And there’s more! But first, here’s Dean, and some of his cast mates, talking about Paradise survival tips.
A night girl and a day girl for Dean
Reality Steve reveals, “Dean would spend a lot of time with DLo (Danielle) during the day, but then spend the night with Kristina.”
Oh, that must have made Kristina feel like a zillion bucks.
Although fans won’t see the Dean-Kristina-Danielle love triangle play out until later on in the season, it didn’t end when filming wrapped.
Although spoilers indicate Kristina left the show during the second-to-last episode, her relationship with Dean didn’t end there.

We’re not sure if they are still dating/hooking up, but in July, Dean was seeing both Kristina and Danielle when they finished filming Bachelor in Paradise.
Dean and Danielle both live in Los Angeles so their get-togethers may have been more frequent.
Kristina hails from Kentucky but once dated Jef Holm (Bachelorette season 8) who lives near Dean. So, she knows the L.A. area well.
Got that? Jef Holm. That’s not a good idea, Kristina.
Dean seems like a better guy. Except for his obvious indecisions about who he should date.
Perhaps dating outside the Bachelor franchise would be a good idea, Deanie Baby. Love triangles rarely end well.
ABC’s two-night Bachelor in Paradise season 4 premiere starts at 8 pm ET on August 14.
