Next ‘Bachelor’ could be someone from a past season, teases Chris Harrison

Fans can’t wait to find out who the next Bachelor star is and Chris Harrison is already dropping hints about who will hand out roses in 2018.

Just when we thought we had the name of the next Bachelor all figured out, host Chris Harrison throws us a curve ball. We were almost 100 percent certain Rachel’s runner-up would get the gig, but Chris dropped some major hints that we may be way off base with our prediction.

Most fans assume the next Bachelor will be one of Bachelorette Rachel’s final four guys. That may not be the case this season. Remember when producers changed things up and introduced Nick Viall as the Bachelor 2018 before his stint on Bachelor in Paradise was over? A surprise announcement may be coming once again.

A Bachelor from the past?

There has been plenty of speculation that producers are most interested in bringing on Peter Krauss as the 2018 Bachelor star. Dean Unglert’s name has been mentioned as well, but he’s all tied up in a Paradise love triangle, so that doesn’t sound promising.

If you’re gambling on the outcome, Peter definitely has better odds of winning the gig. But, before you make a bet, what Chris Harrison has to say may (or may not) change your mind.

Chris tells E! News it’s possible the next Bachelor could be “someone from the past.”

Ben Higgins, perhaps?

The E! News reporter didn’t let that comment slide. She asked Chris if there is a chance Ben Higgins could return to the show because she wants him to find love.

Harrison agreed that he wants Ben to find love and didn’t shoot down the idea.

He admits that Ben is a good friend and they have spent time together lately.

Are they spending time together to talk about a second run as the Bachelor?

We have no idea. What we do know is Chris isn’t sure if Ben would take the gig if it’s offered to him.

“Would Ben come back as the Bachelor?” Chris tells E! News.

“I don’t even know if he would say, ‘Yes.’ I really don’t. We haven’t even talked about it. But hey, he was very popular … and he’s a great guy.”

That’s a nice endorsement for Ben, but do we really want him as our next Bachelor?
