After last night’s episode, it has been revealed that Greg Grippo, Blake Moynes, Justin Glaze, and Michael Allio are our remaining four gentlemen in the running for Katie Thurston‘s heart. With the season finale of The Bachelorette season 17 soon approaching, fans are super excited about our final four’s hometown, but, naturally, fans are extremely thrilled to see a particular contestant’s child.

Throughout the season, we saw how absolutely adorable Michael is with his baby boy, constantly FaceTiming him to see how he’s doing. Seeing his son is a big deal for both fans and Katie Thurston, but, as we know, Michael is very protective over his child and has a few reservations about who he introduces his son to.

With this in mind, many are wondering if Katie will actually meet Michael’s son or if the father of one simply doesn’t want to take that big step just yet. We answer your question, down below.

Does Katie Thurston meet Michael Allio’s son during hometowns?

Reality Steve tells us that, unfortunately, Katie does not meet Michael Allio’s son during hometowns because Michael ultimately decided not to proceed with continuing further in the competition. Though we’ll have to wait for next week’s episode to know exactly why the doting father decided to eliminate himself from the competition, we predict that it does have something to do with his hesitations about Katie’s ability to be the mother that his son needs.

Additionally, following the untimely death of his late wife Laura, it is possible that Michael is doing his best to navigate such a sore subject for both himself and his son, and involving Katie in the matter may only further complicate the healing process.

While it will be extremely sad to see Michael go next week, we’re super proud of this dad for doing what’s best for his family, and really hope to see him again in the future–hopefully, as our season 26 bachelor.
