As The Bachelorette 2020 continues, Clare Crawley embarks on her first group and one-on-one dates before bidding farewell to another handful of bachelors. 

It might have taken a few more months than anticipated, but The Bachelorette 2020 is officially underway and the season is about to quickly heat up!

In the season 16 premiere, fans watched as Clare Crawley finally embarked on her journey to find love after an unexpected production delay. After nearly 40 minutes of recapping the events leading up to the start of production, the limo entrances finally began as the 31 men hoping to find love with Clare arrived and finally had the chance to meet Clare in-person.

Sparks quickly flew behind Clare and several suitors — yeah, yeah we know there was only one guy Clare likely saw fireworks upon meeting — and several favorites quickly emerged from the group. Thanks to some unexpected drama between two men, Clare’s first night as the Bachelorette didn’t quite go off without a hitch which set the stage for an intense rose ceremony.

By the end of the night, eight men were sent home leaving only 23 men left as we enter Week 2 of the season — and the drama has only just begun!

The Bachelorette 2020 week 2 spoiler-free preview: What to expect

After getting the party started in an unforgettable premiere, it’s finally time for Clare to get to know her suitors better with week 2 bringing the first one-on-one and group dates of the new season!

Always fun and unexpected, the first one-on-one date of the season will find Clare getting the chance to spend some time with one lucky man. In keeping things spoiler-free, we won’t reveal the identity of the bachelor selected by Clare for her first one-on-one but will note that viewers might be surprised by her choice.

The Bachelorette 2020 week 2 group date teases

In addition to the season’s first one-on-one date, week 2 of The Bachelorette 2020 will see Clare enjoying two unique group dates — both of which will turn up the heat, but in their own unique ways!

Up first, Clare is joined by nine men for a “crash course in love languages and show off their new knowledge in order to make a true romantic connection with Clare.” While the date is rumored to get off to a slow start with Clare needing to “light a fire under the guys,” she must succeed as ABC teases Clare will “begin to establish connections with more than one man,” by the date’s end.

Following the first group date, ten bachelors will join Clare for a high-stake dodgeball game in which the winning team will get the chance to enjoy some additional time with Clare during an after-party. The game will date will get heated in more ways than one not only featuring some shirtless competitors but a blow-up at the after-party via a party crasher. As ABC teases:

"“One man on the losing side decides to crash the party, inciting a tense confrontation with the winners right in front of Clare. What could possibly go wrong? Another jaw-dropping moment springs from one earnest young man’s attempts to explain why he just had to be among Clare’s suitors. How will that answer sit with our determined Bachelorette?”"

The Bachelorette 2020 week 2 rose ceremony teasers

After three unforgettable dates, the night will come to a close with yet another rose ceremony which will see Clare bid farewell to another group of suitors.

Without naming names, we’ll note that there will be plenty of drama to enjoy with one man attempting to get some alone time with Clare, Clare confronting the group date party crasher and one man deciding to call Clare out about the dodgeball group date. In other words, get ready for an explosive rose ceremony!
