Bachelor breakup: Lesley shares how she’s handling split with Dean

Bachelor Winter Games star Lesley Murphy continues to share her thoughts about her breakup with Dean Unglert, hints that he wasn’t “true.”

Dean and Lesley didn’t get engaged on the Bachelor Winter Games finale, but fans were hopeful their relationship would last longer than a few months. Although they both posted cryptic breakup posts on Instagram, Lesley is now making it clear that she’s heartbroken over the split.

Less than a month after Dean gave Lesley a key to his apartment, the couple’s relationship fizzled out. They didn’t post a formal breakup statement, but their social media posts were enough to clue fans in about their failed relationship. Now Lesley is taking it one step further by telling her followers how she’s handling her breakup — and she dropped a major hint about the reason things didn’t work out.

On Sunday, Lesley posted a long, yet cryptic, post on Instagram (below) about the breakup. On Monday, she followed up with a tweet that explained how she’s dealing with her split from Dean.

“Some days are meant for lying in bed for 13 hours straight with your favorite dog, a cup of coffee and really good break up music,” Lesley tweeted on Monday night.

Anyone who has gone through a breakup can totally relate.

What happened?

Lesley’s Twitter post confirms that it’s over, but her Instagram post hints at what really happened.

We know their relationship didn’t end overnight. The cute couple pics on Instagram started to fade, they weren’t traveling together anymore, and fans started to question the status of their relationship.

Lesley was totally ready for a relationship, coming back to the Bachelor franchise after 5 years in hopes of finding love. She states that she, “came back to Winter Games because I’ve seen this franchise work miracles before.”

The miracles Lesley speaks of didn’t work for Benoit and Clare, or Kevin and Ashley. Both couples split after the finale.

There’s a good chance we’ll never hear exactly what went wrong between Dean and Lesley, but it’s not hard to decipher if you read her entire Instagram post.

Dean still has some growing up to do

Lesley states that it’s important for her to find someone who is “ready” — a hint that Dean wasn’t truly ready to commit.

” I know it’s imperative to find someone who chooses us and acknowledges our many layers, who can be open and vulnerable, and most importantly, who is ready,” Lesley wrote on Instagram. “To meet someone and be met. To be chosen and to choose. To love and to be loved. This is everything. All we need is that same energy reciprocated, and despite how open and loving you attempt to be, people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves.”

The most telling line in Lesley’s Instagram post…

“Out with the old, in with the ᴛʀᴜᴇ. It was a long winter, and I’m excited for a new season. Let the spring cleaning commence.”

“In with the true”? Did Dean lie to her? Was he not truthful? Or did they just grow apart after the cameras stopped rolling?

Who knows, but it’s onward and upward for Lesley Murphy.

Let’s just hope Dean doesn’t end up on Bachelor in Paradise again — that would be a total slap in the face to Lesley who seems to be heartbroken that things didn’t work out.
