The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk is getting plenty of backlash on Twitter after dumping Becca Kufrin, but why are people ticked off at Lauren Burnham?

When Lauren Burnham walked up to the Bachelor mansion, she probably didn’t expect to be part of one of the most controversial finales in the history of the show. On Tuesday night, fans will hear her side of the story and how she handled getting dumped by Arie during the final rose ceremony.

It’s no secret that Arie and Lauren are together, with word that they got engaged two weeks ago in Dana Point, California. But, amidst all of the shade Arie is getting on Twitter, why are fans attacking Lauren on social media? We took a look at her Instagram account and want to step in and block the people who are calling her stupid. It makes no sense.

Lauren didn’t steal Arie away from Becca. He contacted her after he was engaged to Becca. Whether it’s a good idea or not, why blame her for taking him back?

Even Becca says she doesn’t blame Lauren for her breakup

“At the end of the day, we both just fell in love with the same guy and she can’t help that,” Becca tells People. “The only person that I can fault in this is Arie and the way he handled it. I do feel a little bad that it’s going to be really tough for them when all of this is said and done.”

Judging from the tweets below, fans are not happy with Arie, but that goes with the job.

When you get the Bachelor gig, you have to expect negative feedback from fans, especially those who fail to realize the lead and the cast are real people, despite the foolish decisions they make.

But calling out Lauren for taking Arie back? We realize that it’s the norm now to judge via social media, but whether she should take him back or not was not up to fans.

Lauren wasn’t a villain and, from what we know, she didn’t do anything but fall for a guy who couldn’t make up his mind.
