Bachelor Winter Games premiere spoilers: Who goes home tonight? Who couples up on night one?
By Ruby Maxwell
The Bachelor Winter Games kicks off tonight with 26 contestants, but only 21 guys and girls will remain at the end of the first episode.
The first episode of ABC’s new Bachelor spinoff, Winter Games, begins at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 13. The show is only on for two weeks, but there will be plenty of hookups and romance packed into four two-hour episodes. All 26 contestants, from both the U.S. and international Bachelor franchises, will compete for date cards.
The show was filmed in Vermont, so that means we’ll see the guys and girls take part in winter-themed sports challenges. But don’t worry — there will be plenty of time to party and create love connections in the Bachelor Winter Games house. Unfortunately, some contestants won’t make it past the first night — five people will be voted off the show on night one. Who leaves on night one and which contestants couple-up on night one? Here’s the scoop. (Spoilers ahead)
Not everyone arrives at the Winter Games on night one
There are 26 contestants (see a full cast list here), but one contestant (Jordan from New Zealand) doesn’t arrive on night one due to travel issues. But, the show must go on, so the other contestants won’t wait for Jordan to start the challenges.
After all of the cast intros are done, Chris Harrison will announce the first round of challenges. I’ll be honest — I’d be hiding in the house because, even as a native New Englander, winter sports are not my thing. Skiing, skating, snowboarding — it’s a recipe for disaster in my book. We’ll see a few contestants wipe out this season, so I feel for them.
Romance begins on night one
Fans will see several contestants hit it off during the premiere, but there will be some jealousy (of course!) as well. Spoilers point to Clare (Juan Pablo’s season) getting into a love triangle this season, so that should be interesting.
And Ashley I. won’t be crying all season — but you can expect tears on night one. Oh, and rumor has it that she lost her virginity with Kevin from Canada. Clearly, she’s not thinking about Jared Haibon anymore.
And then there’s Dean Unglert and Lesley Murphy. Rumors have been popping up online about their relationship since December when they filmed Bachelor Winter Games. Apparently, they are still going strong and will appear as a couple on the Winter Games Tell All on February 22. But, we all know how fast relationships come and go, so we shall see!

According to Reality Steve, contestants will write the name of the person they think should go home on a piece of paper.
The papers go in a box (is this Bachelor Survivor?) and someone tallies the votes.
Five people go home on the first night — Eric Bigger, Lauren Griffin, Jamey Kocan, Zoe (China), and Laura (UK).
The Bachelor Winter Games airs on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 8 p.m. and will end with a Tell All after the February 22 finale.
