We thought Tia would become the next Bachelorette, then this happened

Tia Booth was rumored to be in line to become the next Bachelorette, but Bachelor Arie may have had a hand in messing that up.

Although we are still weeks away from the March 5 Bachelor season finale, there’s already a buzz about the girl who will score the next Bachelorette gig. And, until last week, all signs pointed to Tia Booth — aka Raven Gates’ BFF — would be handing out roses to 25+ lucky guys.

What’s not to love about Tia? After all, she gave Arie a little wiener on the season premiere. Sadly, he didn’t get the joke, but we’ll chalk that up to nerves. Wieners aside, Tia is no longer under consideration for the next Bachelorette, thanks to Arie making a big, hot mess with the outcome of his season.

What happened?

The next Bachelorette announcement will happen on the After the Final Rose special (March 6) that airs one night after the finale. UPDATE: Becca is the next Bachelorette.

Last week, Reality Steve revealed that his final rose spoiler was correct, but he’s already broken off his engagement. And we were totally clued in when we saw Becca Kufrin, who supposedly won Arie’s final rose, post some sad stuff on her Instagram story.

Apparently, ABC filmed Arie’s breakup with Becca — two months after they got engaged. Way to go, Arie.

He then headed to Lauren Burnham’s parents house to tell her he made a mistake dumping her at the final rose ceremony. Well, we’re not sure what he said, but he was probably groveling. Of course, she said, “yes” and they got engaged six weeks after he broke up with Becca.

Arie who?

Becca, who appears to be well-liked by the other girls on the show, might be heartbroken, but that’s not going to last long.

She seemed to be on the show for the right reasons. She probably believed Arie when he said he wanted to marry her.

Many fans have commented on her social media posts that she “dodged a bullet.” Getting engaged in November and dumped in Janu-Arie stinks, but there’s nothing like being the Bachelorette to get you over a breakup.

And Tia? We know we’ll see her on Bachelor in Paradise. Hopefully she’ll find a great guy like her friend Raven did.
