Chelsea Roy dated New England Patriots star before joining Bachelor cast, but who is her son’s father?

Chelsea Roy tried to be mysterious when she met Bachelor Arie, but will she reveal more about her past relationships during their first one-on-one date in Florida?

Some of Bachelor Arie’s girls came on the show shortly after ending a long-term relationship including at least one divorce, and another girl who was supposed to get married weeks before filming started.  And then there’s Chelsea Roy, who told Arie that there was another guy in her life — her son. But, she didn’t talk about her son’s father and has yet to tell Arie that she was dating an NFL star before she joined the Bachelor cast in September.

Who is the New England Patriots player she was dating, and what happened to the guy who is the father of her 3-year-old son? Here’s what we know about Chelsea’s pre-Bachelor relationships…

Not looking for love?

Chelsea, 29, who currently lives in Maine, was reportedly dating Pats wide receiver Julian Edelman right up until she left to film the Bachelor. Why would she give him up? I mean, seriously, she could have scored tickets to the Super Bowl.

Maybe she didn’t give him up at all. From what we’ve learned, she may have joined the Bachelor cast for other reasons…

According to Reality Steve, Chelsea “had the Edelman thing going, and basically went on [the show] because she wants to have a modeling career.”

Oh, okay. Nothing mysterious about that — it’s called not there for the right reasons. And, if it’s true, Chelsea isn’t the only one on the show who’s in it for career purposes.

What about Chelsea’s ex?

The father of Chelsea’s son is not an NFL player. Or at least we don’t think he is. And they were never married, but he’s married now. And there’s a really good chance Chelsea is not BFFs with the girl he is married.

Sounds like a  soap opera.

Let’s just put this all in bullet points so it’s easy to understand:

• The father of Chelsea’s 3-year-old son, Sammy, is someone named Mike Wilson.
• They met a few years before she got pregnant but never got married.
• Reality Steve reports that Mike cheated on Chelsea at some point before their son celebrated his first birthday.
• The girl he cheated with — Rani Williamson, a former Miss Maine USA — was married at the time to someone named Gabe Michelson (they have a daughter together).
• Chelsea was undoubtedly ticked off when she found out Mike cheated on her. Their relationship ended.
• Rani divorced her husband, Gabe, and now she’s married to Chelsea’s ex, Mike Wilson and they have a baby boy.

Anyone need a relationship flow chart to figure that out? It’s not that complicated, but jeesh. It’s shocking that Chelsea didn’t get together with Rani’s ex, Gabe.

But, wait … there’s more!

Chelsea’s ex takes her to court

According to Radar Online, Mike currently pays Chelsea $450 a week for child support. In September, he filed a custody dispute with the State of Maine District Court to halt the payments and modify the original March 2016 custody agreement.

Court documents indicate that Chelsea “quit her job” to go on the show and left her 3-year-old son with Mike and his wife, Rani.

Apparently, Mike wasn’t happy Chelsea joined the Bachelor cast. In the court documents, Mike stated that their son, Sammy, was living with him while Chelsea filmed the show.

“The parties son, Samuel M. Wilson, is now exclusively residing with plaintiff, who is fully supporting him. Plaintiff should be relieved of his obligation to pay child support to the defendant, who is in California and not supporting the child at all.”

Spoilers ahead

Chelsea gets her first one-on-one date with Arie on Episode 5 (January 29). The Bachelor gives her a rose and Chelsea continues on her quest to further her modeling career find a husband.

If spoilers are correct, Chelsea will get a free trip to Paris (Episode 6, February 5), but she won’t get another one-on-one date with Arie.

Instead, she will be part of a group date with Tia, Seinne, Bekah, Jenna, Jacqueline, and Becca.

Although she gets to enjoy Paris, Chelsea won’t travel to Italy for the next episode. Spoilers point to Arie sending Chelsea home during the Episode 6 rose ceremony.

Will we see Chelsea at the Super Bowl on Sunday? Maybe she’ll be there rooting for Edelman after all!
