Bachelor Arie Luyendyk pulled a “Mesnick” and reportedly had a change of heart two months after proposing to his final pick.

Remember when Bachelor Jason Mesnick dumped Melissa Rycroft and professed his love for his runner-up, Molly Malaney? Get ready for Mesnick 2.0 because that’s what’s happening with Arie Luyendyk Jr.  [SPOILERS AHEAD]

Last week, we hinted that this might be happening after Arie and the Bachelor crew were spotted at the home of this season’s runner-up, Lauren Burnham. No one knew exactly what was going on because spoilers pointed to Becca as the final rose winner. And now there’s this…

Arie got engaged to Becca Kufrin during the final rose ceremony back in November.

He then went on a media tour and said he fell in love with two girls. Turns out, he was more in love with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham.  According to Reality Steve, he is dating Lauren —they are not engaged. Yet.

“Arie ended his engagement with Becca a little over a week ago and is now dating Lauren. That’s why he was in Virginia last week at Lauren’s parents house.”

Kind of explains Becca’s recent Instagram live post, doesn’t it?

Did producers talk Arie into proposing to Becca because they thought Lauren would make a good Bachelorette?

Will Becca K now become the next Bachelorette because she got burned?

Or did Becca’s ex-boyfriend get in the way?

When the season finale was taped in November, Becca’s ex-boyfriend, Ross Jirgl, a sports performance coach at Stanford University, showed up and proposed to her. She said, “No” and got engaged to Arie.

Inquiring minds want to know — is she back with Ross? Did she throw her Neil Lane ring at Arie?

Is Lauren Burnham happy to be an after-thought?
