The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk goes on his first round of dates on January 8, but Episode 2 won’t end well for four girls.
It’s Bachelor Monday! Week 2 brings two one-on-one dates, a group date, and another cocktail party. And we all know what happens after everyone downs some cocktails — rose ceremony eliminations.
Who goes on a date with Arie, which girls stay behind at the Bachelor mansion, and who gets eliminated at the second rose ceremony of the season?
Here’s what to expect during episode 2, including the low-down on some of the drama that takes place during the group date. And don’t forget to make your picks for this week’s episode by downloading a Bachelorette bracket here.
Arie’s first dates
The girls are still in Los Angeles this week and will be there for at least another week. Thankfully, there’s a pool and plenty of food and booze at the Bachelor mansion so the four girls who get passed over for a date this week have something to do.
After last week’s premiere night eliminations, 21 girls remain.
Here’s the list in case you’re keeping track on your bracket — Seinne Fleming, Tia Booth, Valerie Biles Annaliese Puccini, Ashley Luebke, Becca Kufrin, Bekah Martinez, Bibiana Julian, Brittany Taylor, Maquel Cooper, Jenna Cooper, Jenny Delaney, Caroline Lunny, Jacqueline Trumbull, Kendall Long, Chelsey Roy, Krystal Nielson, Lauren Burnham, Lauren Griffin, Lauren Schleyer, and Marikh Mathias.
There are two one-on-one dates this week. Krystal Nelson and Becca Kurfrin will score some alone time with Arie, but Krystal will spark a little jealousy when the other girls find out she meets Arie’s parents.
Spoilers point to Kystal taking a jet to Arie’s home in Arizona where she spends time with his parents. Oh, and she apparently gets to meet Arie’s dog.
Becca Kufrin jumps on Arie’s back … I mean, jumps on the back of a motorcycle that Arie drives to the location of their date. They end up somewhere in L.A. to take a look at Rachel Zoe’s runway collection. Becca gets to try on fancy clothing and then they head out for their night date. Expect a lot of kissing and first date chit-chat.
The group date involves 15 girls, cars (shocking!), and Arie standing next to a cheesy sign that says “dangerous curves ahead.”
Caroline, Bekah, Maquel, Marikh, Jenna, Seinne, Bibiana, Brittany, Jenny, Valerie, Tia, Kendall, Lauren G., Chelsea, and Annaliese spend the day with Arie at a racetrack.

The demolition derby date will feature one girl who has a mini-meltdown, and another contestant that gets carted off to the hospital with the first injury of the season.
Annaliese won’t be crying over Arie. According to Reality Steve, she has a fear of bumper cars (what?!), but she eventually stops crying and joins the rest of the girls.
And Brittany may cry, but again, she won’t be shedding tears over the Bachelor star.
Instead, she ends up getting a concussion, heads to the hospital, and misses the after party. Bummer.
Spoilers point to Seinne ended up winning the derby race and getting the group date rose at the after party.
Who goes home after the Week 2 dates?
There are four girls who didn’t get to go on a date this week — Lauren S., Lauren B., Jacqueline, and Ashley. Although they didn’t get to go on a date with Arie, they are safe for another week — all four girls get a rose.
Four other girls aren’t so lucky, including one of the four Lauren’s cast for this season.
Going home tonight are — Lauren Griffin, Jenny Delaney, and Valerie Biles.
Fans will see Lauren G. back on TV in a few weeks. She is one of two girls from Arie’s season who gets another shot at finding love on The Bachelor Winter Games in February.
