‘Bachelor in Paradise’ update: One engagement, but not for the right reasons?

Filming for Bachelor in Paradise wrapped up this week and the big question is — who got engaged and how long will their relationship last?

After just 14 days of filming, the Bachelor in Paradise season 4 contestants are heading home, with one couple rumored to be engaged. Keep in mind, production started in June, but after three days, it was halted due to the DeMario-Corinne situation. Filming resumed on June 24 and wrapped up right after the 4th of July holiday.

Production for previous seasons took 18 days, so this season’s 14-day filming schedule gave contestants even less time to start a relationship. But who needs time when you’re in Paradise? Relationships start (and end) at the speed of light. And season 4 will be no different. Apparently, fans will see one couple get engaged and they may have planned it right from the start. For all the wrong right reasons, of course.

For love or money?

Last season, three couples got engaged. Two split and one couple got married (Evan and Carly). There’s a good chance we won’t three proposals during the upcoming season. However, Reality Steve states he “fully expects” there will be one engagement. And not only is it an engagement, it may be one that was arranged with money in mind.

“The engagement isn’t really the story,” Steve writes. “It’s two people capitalizing on whatever they can for as long as they can. I’m already hearing rumblings that there were people who interested in getting engaged at the end just for that very reason.”

Who got engaged in ‘Paradise’?

We don’t know…but it won’t be long before we do. Last season, Amanda and Josh didn’t hide the fact that they were so in love. And we all know how that turned out.

Let’s speculate…because it’s fun.

There has been some chatter about Amanda Stanton and Robby Hayes making it to the end (pics in link). However, that could be a false alarm. After all, she told E! News that she was just going on the show to make friends. And we believe her, right?

What about Dean Unglert? Video of The Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s fourth runner-up on the Paradise set surfaced online a few days ago. There have been rumors that Dean made a love connection with Kristina Schulman (Nick’s season) when the season started filming in May.

The video shows Dean sitting with Raven Gates and another girl. We can’t tell if it’s Kristina or not. Check out the video here and see what you think.

Now, it’s not hard to imagine Amanda and Robby getting together for the sake of self-promotion.

Amanda constantly promotes products on social media and Robby has a new business (Leisureletics) with Chase McNary.

But Dean? Can’t imagine him selling Sugar Bear Hair vitamins or pimping out Fab Fit Fun boxes. He seems way too genuine.

Then again, this is reality TV. Very little of it seems to be real.
