Corinne Olympios says producers have asked her to return to Bachelor in Paradise now that the sexual misconduct investigation is complete.

Production for Bachelor in Paradise is underway (again). Most of the contestants returned to Mexico last weekend to finish filming the fourth season of ABC’s summer reality series. With only about one week to go before filming wraps up, many fans are wondering if Corinne and DeMario will make an appearance on the show.

DeMario is still making up his mind (that probably means “yes”). But Corinne says she’s not going back to Paradise this summer. However, she did confirm in her statement (below) that producers asked her to come back. Perhaps they wanted her to help boost ratings for the show. After all, she was controversial on Nick’s season of the Bachelor. And, by now, everyone knows what happened in Paradise.

While I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been a participant on The Bachelor, and while I was invited to return to Bachelor In Paradise when production resumed, I respectfully made the decision not to return,” Corrine said in a statement issued to the media on Thursday. “I understand the media’s interest in this story, and I greatly appreciate my fans’ concerns for my well-being, but I think it is best if I keep any further thoughts private for now.”

It’s unclear how long she will keep her thoughts private once the new season airs on ABC.

According to Entertainment Weekly, footage that was taped before production was halted will be shown at some point during the upcoming season.

It’s not clear whether any of the interaction between Corinne and DeMario will be used, but there’s a good chance producers won’t use footage of the naked pool romp.

We really don’t want to see what happened, so it’s fine if they just burn the tapes.
