‘Bachelor in Paradise’: 4 things you need to know about ‘BiP’ Season 4

Production for Bachelor in Paradise resumes this weekend. Who’s coming, who’s going, and which contestants are already in a relationship?

A number of contestants won’t return to tape the Bachelor spinoff, but several new faces will make their way to the beachfront resort. And that’s not all. There’s a Paradise romance brewing between one of Rachel Lindsay’s frontrunners and Ben Higgins’ ex. — they hit it off when production started in May.

Here are four things you need to know about the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, including some scoop on what could turn out to be this season’s sweetest love story.

Filming extended one week

Production for Bachelor in Paradise started in late May and was scheduled to wrap up on June 27. Due to the investigation into sexual misconduct that we’ve heard about 24/7, taping will be extended to July 4. The premiere is still scheduled to air August 8.

Contestants not returning to Paradise

Per TMZ, DeMario Jackson has reportedly declined an offer to return to Paradise, but don’t rule him out just yet. As far as Corinne Olympios goes, E! Online reports that she will not be part of the Season 4 cast.

Robby Hayes has hinted that he may not return, but it would be a total shocker if he didn’t. After all, he put a relationship on hold so he could go back on TV.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Amanda Stanton may not head back to Paradise because she would miss out on the 4th of July festivities with her two daughters.

More from Bachelor in Paradise

ABC hasn’t revealed all of this season’s cast just yet. The initial release included some of the guys and girls fans will see on the premiere.

Now there is word that producers are bringing back at least two familiar faces from last season — twins Emily and Haley Ferguson. Hmm. Thought they had boyfriends, but it’s hard to keep up with who’s single and who’s not.

And then there’s Jared Haibon. He said he wouldn’t go back (again), but there are some rumblings that he might.

Fun fact – Jared lives a few streets over from me. Should I just go ask him?

Paradise romance

Warning — the info below includes a spoiler about one of Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s guys.

Spoilers indicate that Rachel sends Dean Unglert home after hometown dates. The episode won’t air until next month, but we’re already crying. He’s so sweet — and easy on the eyes.

However, there is some good news. Reality Steve reports that Dean is part of the Bachelor in Paradise cast. During the first week of filming, he made a love connection with Kristina Schulman (Nick’s season).

And there’s more…

Apparently, Dean and Kritsina left Mexico together when production was halted. Of note — she was dating Jef Holm (Emily Maynard’s season) before she joined the Paradise cast. Dean is definitely an upgrade.

There’s no confirmation from ABC on this, but all signs point to Dean and Kristina heading back to Paradise to resume their budding romance. Awww! We ship them, big time!
