Bachelor in Paradise won’t be airing a new episode tonight: Here’s why

BACHELOR IN PARADISE - “711” – Paradise is coming to a close and after last week’s shocking breakup of the couple “Most Likely to Live Happily Ever After,” the remaining beachgoers have some serious thinking to do about their futures. But first, they’ll need to make it through the season’s final rose ceremony. Once all the roses have been handed out, Paradise’s own alumni couple Caelynn and Dean arrive to share their love story and to let the remaining pairs know that time is running out. Who will choose to spend the night in a fantasy suite? Who will leave Paradise heartbroken? Who will get down on one knee? All these questions and more will be answered on the special three-hour season finale of “Bachelor in Paradise,” TUESDAY, OCT. 5 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/Craig Sjodin)WELLS ADAMS

Thursday has arrived, but if you’re settling in on your couch after enjoying your Thanksgiving festivities hoping to enjoy a new episode of Bachelor in Paradisewe have some really disappointing news for you.

This Thursday night, there will be no new episode of Bachelor in Paradise for fans to enjoy. In fact, there won’t even be a rerun to enjoy this week as ABC has pulled the show entirely from its schedule for this week. So what gives?

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, ABC has opted not to air new episodes of its Bachelor franchise programming slate this evening. This is a common practice for the network and its competitors who typically do not air new programming, beyond sports coverage, on holidays in realizing many viewers do not tune in on the holidays.

Typically, ABC would air reruns of its Thursday programs but this Thanksgiving the network has instead opted to air a Golden Bachelor marathon re-airing the first three episodes across its primetime slate on November 23.

Bachelor in Paradise returns November 30

After taking Thanksgiving off, Bachelor in Paradise will return with a new episode next week, November 30, but there is yet another twist coming fans’ way. While ABC will be airing a new episode of Bachelor in Paradise on November 30, the episode will be airing at a special time and will be an abbreviated episode.

On November 30, The Golden Bachelor‘s first season will be coming to a close with a special 2-hour finale that will air from 8-10 p.m. ET. This means Bachelor in Paradise will be airing at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday and airing a one-hour episode, rather than airing at 9 p.m. with the usual two-hour episode.

The Bachelor in Paradise season 9 finale is fast approaching

Following a one-hour episode on November 30, Bachelor in Paradise will come to an exciting conclusion on December 7 with a super-sized finale event! After taking Nov. 23 off for the holiday and a one-hour episode airing on November 30, ABC will air a three-hour finale across its primetime block on Thursday, December 7.

The special three-hour episode promises to bring a lot of drama as we get to see which couples leave paradise together and which couples call it quits before the season comes to a close. As ABC has promised since the beginning of the season, season 9 will also come to a close with a wedding in paradise which is sure to be a big part of the final episode of the season.

Needless to say, there should be a lot to keep us entertained across the three-hour episode and we’re expecting plenty of drama as Bachelor in Paradise signs off with the final episode of season 9!
