We all remember “Mom” & “Dad” from Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise, Michael and Danielle. While the stars aligned for them for a while, they are unfortunately no longer together.

Just recently, on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets Podcast, Allio (Michael) shared some super sad details on their split and why things didn’t work out for them in the end.

We wish both Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby nothing but the best!

On the most recent episode of Tartick’s podcast, Michael Allio officially confirmed that he and Danielle Maltby are no longer together. Here’s just a little bit about what he had to say:

"I guess I’ll just come out with it. We’re not together anymore. Yeah it’s really, it’s not what we planned. We both threw a lot into this relationship, and it’s really awful when it doesn’t work out."

Allio also stated that while the love will always be there, sometimes two people realize that they’re just not compatible with one another, and that’s precisely what happened with the two of them. He also had this to say in admiration of all that she gave to their relationship together:

"You mourn the loss, not of just that person and that friend in your life, but also the future that you had envisioned. And it’s to no fault of hers…I just have so much admiration. Yeah, and I guess that’s it, you know right now. We’re still you know working through some things and trying to stay close. Yeah, but, yeah, [the] last couple months have been really tough."

When asked how he’s been feeling about having to start all over, Allio stated that he was frightened. Although he’s had to start over once before, it certainly doesn’t make it any easier to do so. Recently, they decided to keep their relationship private, as it’s nothing short of challenging to have every aspect and inch of your relationship in the public eye.

After leaving Paradise, Allio shared his first “I love you” to Maltby on After The Final Rose. Since then, Danielle has picked up and moved everything from her former Nashville home to Ohio. Although she didn’t move in with Michael and his young son, James, she was still close by.

Since moving to Ohio, Danielle has had a part in opening a clinic out in Cleveland called The Skin Center, working as an RN Aesthetic Clinician.

Recently, Michael has been sharing all of life’s happy moments, including James’ first day of school, James’ birthday, and most recently, Breast Cancer Screening Awareness, in honor and memory of his late wife, Laura, through the foundation, The L4 Project.

Obviously, we wish both Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby nothing but the best. Hopefully, they can find peace within each other and still stay in touch, given that they now live so close to each other.

Although they’ve taken trips to Chicago and elsewhere together, they will now be navigating their lives apart. We hope that they can both reminisce on all of their happy memories together and that they regret nothing. We hope that whenever their next relationship begins, it’s nothing but happiness!
