When does The Golden Bachelor premiere?

The Golden Bachelor is a little over two weeks from premiering–and we cannot wait! We will soon be privy to Gerry Turner’s journey towards finding love again.
After seeing more promos and watching him speak, I’m convinced Gerry is an angel. He seems like such a sweetheart, and I truly hope he found love while on the show. Everyone deserves another chance at finding love if they want it, and it makes me happy to know this group of seniors is getting just that.
If you’re hoping to watch Gerry’s love story begin, you’ll need to tune in on Thursday nights to follow along. And worry not, we’ve got all the details you need to make sure you don’t miss a single second!
When does The Golden Bachelor Season 1 premiere?
The series premiere is on Thursday, September 28th, on ABC at 8 PM EST. Instead of Bachelor Mondays, ABC is moving the show to Thursdays, where it will take a primetime spot instead of Grey’s Anatomy. Given the current writer and actor’s strike, no shows will air on national television, so reality shows like The Golden Bachelor are getting their moment in primetime spots.
The exciting part is that Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 will also premiere that night, so we will get a three-hour event! Bachelor Nation, I hope you don’t have any Thursday night plans because they’ll be dedicated to watching both shows.

Who is Gerry Turner?
Gerry is currently 71 years old and decided to do the series because he lost the love of his life some years back. He had a beautiful love story with his late wife, as they were high school sweethearts, and were in love for many decades before her passing.
But ever since her passing, he’s been missing something, and while he can never replace her, he can honor her memory by moving on. And that is exactly what he is doing now!
