Emily Maynard opens up about her son’s recent surgery
One of The Bachelorette franchise’s most recognizable faces is Emily Maynard. You may recognize her from Brad Womack’s seasons of The Bachelor. After that didn’t work out, she appeared as the leading lady on Season 8 of The Bachelorette in 2012. She found love with Jef Holm, but they eventually broke up in late 2012. She met her current husband, Tyler Johnson, in church and married in 2014.
What a whirlwind of a story, am I right? If you’re still following here, Jones is Maynard and Johnson’s sixth child, whom they welcomed secretly. Jones spent much time in the NICU after being diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Recently, the 7-month-old had an ostomy reversal surgery. It appears he’s doing alright and is seemingly healthy again!

Jones’ arrival wasn’t the first time Emily had kept her pregnancy a secret from the public. When she was expecting her fifth child, she kept it off Instagram until the day before.
Maynard has stated repeatedly that Jones was truly the cherry on top of their family, the missing puzzle piece.
Emily Maynard had previously shared that Jones had a series of health problems due to his diagnosis, which eventually caused him to undergo an ostomy reversal. Maynard has since expressed how truly grateful she is not only for Levine Children’s Hospital out in Charlotte, North Carolina but also for her fans and supporters praying for a quick recovery.
In a series of photos she shared, her second youngest daughter, Magnolia, was seen holding the brand new doll from Barbie, representing those with Down Syndrome. While she stated that her daughter was super happy to receive a brand new Barbie doll, that picture meant so much more, especially given all that Jones has been through lately.
