Last month, Bachelor Nation was rocked to their core when they received the news that former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams was breaking off her engagement with Zac Clark after nearly a year.

Fans’ shock can certainly be understood as the couple seemed to have been going strong for the past few months, even running together as a couple during this year’s New York City Marathon. However, much to our surprise, this would be the last time they would be publicly paired together as the two simply couldn’t find a way to make their relationship work.

Last week, we got word on why exactly the engagement didn’t work out, however, during The Bachelorette season 18’s Men Tell All special, we got to know a bit more about the breakup from Tayshia Adams herself.

How Tayshia Adams feels about Zac Clark split

During her sit-down with her co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe, Tayshia expressed that she mostly feels somber about the entire ordeal.

“All in all, all I have to say is that I’m heartbroken,” Tayshia said woefully. “But we tried really hard and I still love him very much. And I’m not sure what the future holds.”

Showing her support, Kaitlyn and as season 18 contestant Rodney Mathews offered words of encouragement to soothe the complex emotions that Tayshia was experiencing. However, these words seem to have struck a wound as Tayshia needed a second to regain her composure and walked off the Men Tell All stage.

Tayshia later returned to the stage.

Though we, for the most part, know how Tayshia Adams feels about the end of her engagement, her ex-fiancé has yet to make an official statement regarding the split.

People Magazine reports that those close to the former contestant say his reasonings for stepping out of the relationship not only consisted of various scheduling conflicts but also his comfortability with staying out of the limelight, unlike his ex-fiancé.

Perhaps in the future, we will see the two come together as friends instead of a couple, but we do not know what the future holds.
