Who went home on The Bachelorette this week? (Season 18, episode 7)

The final four on The Bachelorette season 18 is arguably the best we’ve had on this show so far, as Michelle Young has had such strong and genuine connections with each of her remaining suitors. This season has gone by so fast, and now we’re past hometowns and fantasy suites are up next! Sadly, that means one unlucky man had to go home in episode 7, and we were so sad to see him leave.

During hometowns during the Nov. 30 episode, Michelle got to meet the family members of her wonderful contestants —

Brandon Jones

, Rodney Mathews, Joe Coleman and

Nayte Olukoya

. The episode started off on a high note as Michelle spent time with Brandon’s parents and his brother, who were absolute sweethearts and so supportive. Brandon is so pure, I can’t take it!

Michelle then got to meet Rodney’s family, who were also so, so nice. Joe’s hometown date was next up, and though his sister-in-law had some hard-hitting questions for Joe, she came around and it seemed like his family loved Michelle.

The final date was with Nayte, and as fans know, he’s been the frontrunner since the premiere when he got the first impression rose. However, Nayte’s family was a little skeptical about the process. Understandably, there were doubts from his mom about how his and Michelle’s relationship would survive in the real world, which is a concern that makes sense. Nayte completely opened up by the end of the night, though, and it was beautiful!

Who was eliminated on The Bachelorette (hometowns)?

By the end of the episode, Michelle had to send someone home during the rose ceremony. That man, unfortunately, was Rodney Mathews.

Now, that means Nayte, Brandon and Joe are moving on to another week! Are you surprised by Michelle’s final three?

This week’s episode brought upon some hard conversations for Michelle, and it’s not going to get easier from here. Though Michelle and Nayte have a very strong connection, his family’s concerns shouldn’t be ignored. Is Nayte really ready to get engaged? It doesn’t seem so.

Well, there’s only one way to find out! The Bachelorette season 18 continues next week with the Men Tell All episode on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, and fantasy suites will come the week after. Keep watching and don’t miss out on all the action that’s bound to come!
