What did Ivan do on Bachelor in Paradise?

BACHELOR IN PARADISE - ““709” – There’s more than one storm brewing this week in Paradise. Picking up right where we left off, a devastated Kendall shares a tearful confession with her former beau, but a coupled-up Joe just can’t tell her what she wants to hear. Then, guest host Lil Jon attempts to turn up the heat, bringing in two new guys who are ready to make up for lost time. Meanwhile, some couples are taking it to the next level while others hit stumbling blocks, but things only get more complicated as clouds roll in and Paradise is forced to take a break from the beach. When the clouds part, even if there isn’t a lot of damage from the storm, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a mess to clean up on “Bachelor in Paradise,” TUESDAY, SEPT. 21 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. I think I speak for most fans of The Bachelor franchise when I say that I never expected Ivan Hall to be wrapped up in so much drama! Bachelor in Paradise season 7 has been a wild ride since it debuted on ABC last month, and we only have two episodes left now. But just because we’re close to the finale doesn’t mean the penultimate episode is predictable at all.

Episode 10 is currently airing, and right before the highly-anticipated rose ceremony, Wells Adams came out and informed everyone that he had unfinished business to take care of. He pulled Ivan aside and the two talked while the other contestants speculated what could’ve happened.

Producers really made this moment dramatic, per usual, and Ivan revealed that he spent time with another girl outside of

Paradise

the night before. In case you missed it, the contestants were evacuated in last week’s episode for a bad storm, and they stayed in a hotel just for one night.

Ivan met

Alexa Caves

at the hotel, who you might recognize from Peter Weber’s season of

The Bachelor

. As Ivan explained, he discovered that she was staying in the same hotel and the two hit it off while hanging out for a few hours. Wells stressed that this was a huge deal as he cheated the system.

Ivan seemed regretful, citing that he was in a place where he had no connections on the beach and admitted it was a mistake. Wells urged Ivan to go tell the group what happened and he agreed. He apologized to the group, especially to Chelsea Vaughn who he basically led on earlier in the day.

Why did Ivan go home on Bachelor in Paradise?

Ultimately, it seemed that everyone agreed it would be best for Ivan to be sent home because of his choice to secretly pursue a romance with someone who wasn’t on the beach. Ivan made the decision himself to self-eliminate and said he wasn’t in the right space to continue his journey on Paradise.

Who is Alexa Caves?

As Ivan noted, Alexa was a contestant on The Bachelor season 24 and was eliminated in Week 3. She’s an esthetician from Chicago, Illinois, and you can check out her Instagram page here. Ivan claimed that Alexa was the one person he was hoping to see when coming onto Paradise, which is what they all say!

Viewers were really shocked at this major moment for Ivan, and we hope he’s learned from his mistake!

Be sure to tune in for the Bachelor in Paradise season 7 finale next Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
