Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 9: War of Roses

BACHELOR IN PARADISE - “708” – Heading into the long-awaited cocktail party, five women prepare to be sent home, but first, they’ll have to make it through one of the craziest nights in Paradise history. Starting off with a bang, the beach’s most controversial couple faces a reckoning they can’t come back from. Then, one couple pays a visit to the Boom Boom Room, another endures a birthday breakup of epic proportions, and one unlucky lady gets a second chance at love, all before the rose ceremony even begins. When the roses are finally handed out, there’s one more surprise in store…WHAT?! Lil Jon has arrived as the next guest host and he’s not playing around, OKAY? In fact, he brought a whole new batch of guys with him who will make their entrances soon. Later, as a new day begins, it feels like a fresh start in Paradise. Yet another episode without a rose ceremony, paradise fans! This week’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 featured contestants eating foodstuff from each other’s bodies, a temporary evacuation, a heart-breaking self-elimination, and tons of drama.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 9 made it clear as day that women hold the power to give out roses this week, and the men aren’t taking it well. After Kendall left Ivan stranded on the beach, he took a shot at pursuing Chelsea – much to the dismay of union leader Aaron.

With most of the beach coupled up, it’s getting clear who might be going home…but when you’re in Paradise – it’s not over until it’s really over! Here are my predictions for what will go on in the *literal* war of roses next week:

War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 1: Natasha’s Rose Goes To Ed

I can’t be the only one relieved that our girl Natasha has finally made a real connection! After Lil Jon introduced the two new hunks – Demar and Ed to the beach, some women (read: Natasha AND Maurissa) got really excited about the possibility of being asked out on a date.

Yes, Maurissa, who has been hanging out with Mr. Biceps aka Riley. Demar surprises (or upsets?) her when he asks Chelsea on a date instead, and Ed asks Natasha. Their double date features the women painting shirtless portraits of their dates, using the men’s chest as their canvas.

Natasha and Ed appear to have a lot of fun, and later make a toast with champagne and kiss by the beach. I’m guessing Natasha will decide to further pursue Ed who seems like a decent guy (and isn’t friends with Brendan so that gives him brownie points), and Dr. Joe will be on the next flight out.

War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 1: Chelsea’s Rose Goes To Ivan?

At this point, I’m really invested in the whole Chelsea/Ivan/Aaron drama. Throughout this season, I’ve felt as if Aaron has been in survivor mode and somehow manages to score a rose every time (not that I’m complaining, he is good television). He has been given roses by three different women in less than a month and seems more interested in his bromance with James instead of making a connection.

In the closing moments of Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 9, we saw Ivan shooting his shot and having a conversation with Chelsea, which they both seem to be very into. Granted, it’s particularly shady that he decided to talk to her on the day of the rose ceremony but well, at least he’s trying?

They went as far as smooching right in front of Aaron, after which he gestured at Ivan to come and have a chat. We all know how that will go – he’ll probably just ask for respect. Predicting that it’s about to get real messy, I think Chelsea might decide to pursue Ivan instead.

The rest of our couples are pretty into each other and we might see an engagement (or two), Rose lovers! We had a few declarations of love this week, Kenny and Mari (who I adore with my whole, whole heart) and Riley and Maurissa, after he displayed his love for her through “words” and not “actions” and pretty much sealed the deal.
