After failing to find love last season on The Bachelor, Katie Thurston got a second chance at finding love as this season’s new Bachelorette.
Picking up right where she left off in Matt James’s season in being unapologetically authentic and real, Katie wasted no time in making real connections across the season. As we saw time and time again, Katie was unafraid to send anyone she felt was there for the wrong reasons home in putting herself first.
Katie Thurston’s journey to find love was definitely not an easy one, though. Across her season, Katie encountered many difficult moments including the self-eliminations of a few men who she admittedly thought could have been the one.
Not only did these exits leave Katie stunned, but both happened in the final stretch of the season leaving Katie to question whether she even wanted to continue her journey in the penultimate episode of the season.
Given Katie was quite heartbroken as we entered the final episode, fans were left to wonder whether Katie would get the happy ending she had been hoping for but were the departures of Greg and Michael A too much for Katie to handle?
Does Katie Thurston get engaged on The Bachelorette?
Although Katie considered walking away from the show after her heated fight with Greg, a fight which ended in him walking away, she ultimately made the decision to continue her journey in pursuing her relationships with Blake and Justin.
Not only did Katie not walk away from the show, but she managed to find love in the end and walked away from the season with an engagement ring on her hand!
Who does Katie Thurston get engaged to on The Bachelorette?
So who popped the question to Katie? That would be Blake Moynes, who accepted Katie’s final rose and got down on one knee as the season ended to propose to Katie — to which she said yes.
Are Katie Thurston and Blake Moyne still engaged?
After getting engaged on the show, Blake and Katie seem to be still together as of August 2021 and are indeed still engaged.
