Before a certain beloved player went home on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, he and our leading lady Katie Thurston were accompanied on a double date with co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe and her man Jason Tartick.

The date was extremely adorable and was, arguably, one of the most laid-back dates we’ve seen all season but for some fans, they couldn’t help but wonder just who that handsome man was grilling lightly crisped hot dogs on the barbeque. What season was Jason on (The Bachelorette)?

We first got to meet this 32-year-old corporate banker on season 14 of The Bachelorette which featured Becca Kufrin as our leading lady. Becca hit it off really well with Tartick throughout her season, and the season 14 contestant actually made it quite far. However, Tartick was eventually eliminated during week 9, coming in third place. (So close!)

Though Jason did not officially compete on any other seasons of the dating series since his close win, he still managed to end up with one of the lead for The Bachelorette season 11, Kaitlyn Bristowe!

The two first met back in 2019 when Jason Tartick was a guest on Bristowe’s podcast Off the Vine. Shortly after the couple’s friendship progressed into a heavy relationship and the two dated for two years before finally announcing their engagement earlier this year. Not a bad love story for someone who came so close to finding love during his season!

Now Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are head over heels for one another and assist others like Katie Thurston to figure out how they, too, can find their once-in-a-lifetime love.
