Did Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes know each other before The Bachelorette season 17?

After such a rollercoaster ride of an episode last night, it’s not too out of the ordinary for fans of The Bachelorette to have several burning questions in the back of their minds begging to be answered.
Was
really only using season 17 as an audition for
season 26? Are there more guys who are here for the wrong reasons? How hot were those peppers from last night? Why didn’t Tayshia like the milk? What was wrong with it? Will we ever get to see more hilarious reaction faces from Justin Glaze? So. Many. Questions.
While all those questions have yet to be answered, we do have insight into one huge question audiences simply need to know the facts about. Check it out down below.
Did Katie and Blake talk before The Bachelorette?
Based on last night’s episode, it was confirmed that Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes had their fair share of conversations before meeting up on this season of The Bachelorette. Katie told us that their discussion mostly consisted of Blake praising Katie for her quirky sense of humor and for her stand-up behavior seen in The Bachelor season 25, which definitely lets us know that this guy has had his eyes locked on our leading lady for some time now.
While sliding into the DMs doesn’t mean that these two met in person before or are the best of friends, it certainly does mean that this new contestant has more of an advantage in the competition for Katie’s heart, and as we’ve seen in the preview for episode 5, these men are not going to take it too well.
All in all, Blake Moynes has arrived and is here to stay, but we’ll have to stay tuned to see if those Instagram messages will pay off in the end!
