The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 9: Dramatic moment #3:

The most toxic rumor of the season is actually addressed, and Anna is so, so sorry for the intentional drama that she caused.

In a rare moment of actually addressing issues that fans and the women in the house alike needed to be answered, Brittany was the first to get a chance in the hot seat.

Chris Harrison brought up Brittany being labeled as a “high-end escort” by someone in the house and cut to the video recap of Anna creating a rumor about someone she admitted that she didn’t know.

Brittany told Chris about how she had a hard time adjusting to normal life after The Bachelor, isolating herself from her friends and family. Understandably, it was hard for Brittany to go online and see herself being labeled an escort. Like, half the women on Matt’s season everyone else, Brittany said she came on the show to find love and not to be bullied.

And the woman who started it all hadn’t spoken to Brittany once since the show ended filming.

Anna, speaking to Brittany for the first time, said that nothing can justify what she did, and she had no reason to ever tear down another woman. Playing the victim card, Anna said she can’t imagine how Brittany feels, she’s soooo sorry and it “sucks” that she caused all of the drama.

Brittany doubted Anna’s apology, and Anna, somehow the constant, misunderstood victim, said the rumor came from a place of anger. But, it’s okay, she’s working on it!

Mari, the token early elimination with a bigger role at the Women Tell All, doubled down asked why Anna made the rumor up. It stemmed from Anna’s insecurities. Victoria, the woman who sat with Anna and berated other women, Brittany included, in the house, asked Anna who told her the rumor. When Victoria was happy to accept the rumor as fact when originally hearing about it.

Brittany showed Anna compassion, accepting her “100% sincere” apology and pushed for others to recognize the consequences of their words.

“No one’s life means more or less based on occupation,” Brittany finally finished. It was a mature, thoughtful response to cap off the pointless rumor that has given her hell.
