The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 6: Whether it’s through a seeming lack of interest from Matt, a lack of a true connection, or being a complete villain, three four have fallen behind the rest of the pack for Matt’s heart
I feel for Chelsea Vaughn. I really do. She’s an incredible woman, and a runway model no less. She’s real, she’s had important discussions with Matt about being a Black woman in the fashion industry and the struggle of dealing with “traditional” beauty standards as a Black woman, and unfortunately, Matt and her relationship just hasn’t progressed.
The Bachelor’s Twitter account shared the conversation Matt and Chelsea had about Black hair and the pressure that weighed upon her.
Like any sane person, Chelsea has felt insecure and kind of listless through this whole process, and Monday night’s episode did not help. Matt did tell her that she was still around because he could see himself with her, yet he didn’t give her the date rose. For someone who questioned why she was still there, this could not have helped.
Unfortunately, it appears that Chelsea is not in Matt’s future plans, as much as he might tell her otherwise.
Jessenia kind of flew under the radar for a while, not really standing out for any reason—good or bad—until her beef with M.J. Matt supposedly asked Jessenia about drama in the house, so she told him that M.J. was one of the biggest bullies. Facts.
Other than this moment, Jessenia hasn’t really stood out. So… she’s probably one of the next to go.
With the OG squad of Victoria Larson, Anna Redman, and M.J. gone now, Serena Chew took it upon herself to become the biggest bully in the house. She attacked Katie for checks notes calling out bullying and toxicity in the house to Matt discreetly. OK. Good to know, Victoria Jr. Serena C. also went behind Katie’s back, lying about her intentions to the house, and that disgustingly smug look watching Katie’s suitcase being wheeled out was absolutely infuriating.
Serena C. doesn’t have an actual connection with Matt, as she’s a definite producer-forced choice, and she’ll probably be gone next week.
Speaking of producer-forced choices…
Heather Martin is here now, too. So… yeah. The extent of her relationship is having former Bachelorette Hannah Brown tell her to go meet Matt. Which so far has included interrupting Pieper’s time with Matt before the Episode 6 rose ceremony. And I’m sure Episode 7 will spend forty minutes plus to get through all that drama.
The Heather Martin chronicles will continue next week. Yay or nay?
