Now that Clare is newly single, The Bachelor fans are already trying to decide who the initial season 16 Bachelorette should date next. And some of their suggestions might surprise you. Namely, Peter Weber.

contestants do you think would actually be perfect for each other? For your consideration: CLETER,” alongside a photo of Clare and Peter. In response, people had plenty to say about the suggestion in the comments section.

Obviously, “Cleter” doesn’t have much of a ring to it. Still, some fans shipped them right away, claiming that this hypothetical pairing could definitely have potential if given the chance. One user wrote, “Actually, Clare and Peter wouldn’t be bad. Both have highly dependent personalities,” adding, “That is if Peter can ever cut the cord with his mommy.” Another said, “Honestly Peter needs a Clare in his life. I’m here for this.”

Many also noted that while they hadn’t thought about Peter Weber and Clare Crawley as a potential couple before, they could totally see it now. And when one fan responded to this suggestion with, “CLETER 4EVER,” a surprising number of people seconded that notion. And I, for one, am still processing the idea.

In contrast, some fans said that other than being newly single, Clare and Peter have little else in common. On top of that, many seemed to feel that Peter “couldn’t give Clare” what the 39-year-old former Bachelorette needs or has stated she wants in a partner.

As of the timing of this article, Clare Crawley has yet to comment on their called-off engagement. With that in mind, it’ll likely be a while before we hear her thoughts on dating Peter Weber, if ever.

Could Clare and Peter be a potential love match? Or is “Cleter” just a little too farfetched? If we’ve learned anything from Clare’s stint on The Bachelorette, it’s that you never know who might catch your eye and you never know when. So I guess anything is possible, no matter how unlikely it may seem right now.
