With only hours left of 2020 Bachelor Nation receives (hopefully) the last of sad news for the year–The Bachelor’s Peter Weber and girlfriend Kelley Flanagan have called it quits.

Earlier today, 29-year old pilot and former Bachelor Peter Weber took to Instagram to reveal his updated relationship status with a picture of both Kelley Flanagan and himself facing the sunset after hiking and some heartfelt words. The post presents itself as a bittersweet farewell letter to their relationship, so you might want to grab some tissues before reading it.

Bachelor Nation first met Kelley during Peter’s season when it was revealed that the two had actually met before the season was filmed. It was a serendipitous encounter which is why fans were shocked when Weber chose to send Kelley home during the season.

Love has a funny way of working out at times, and after Peter didn’t end up with either of his finalists, the love story between him and Kelley truly began–in the time of quarantine. And the rest as we say is–history.

It truly doesn’t feel like that long ago when both Peter Weber and Flanagan revealed they were a couple just after his season of The Bachelor was done airing. However, and sadly, just less than a year later (if you want to be exact–9 months), they have decided to end their relationship.

This breakup comes at a strange time because just last week they had announced they were planning on moving to New York together in January 2021. This was per Weber’s personal goal to live there which he shared on his Instagram story.

"So grateful Kell was on board with the move! I had actually made it a goal of mine when I turned 20 that I wanted to live in New York City before my 20s were up and I’m just barely crossing it off the list!"

As far as what caused this dissolution to occur, we have yet to learn the details. And to make matters more interesting, Flanagan has yet to comment on their break up on social media.

Just as we bid farewell to this ridiculous and difficult year, Bachelor Nation is shaken over this last-minute news from the former Bachelor. Perhaps he didn’t want to hold off the breakup announcement for the new year and opted to utilize these last few hours before the clock strikes midnight.
