The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 3 recap: Sarah steals the show
On last night’s episode of The Bachelor Season 25, Sarah Trott’s insecurities and struggles consumed Matt James’ time, which left the other women jealous and angry.
Last night’s episode of The Bachelor Season 25 started during last week’s rose ceremony. Sarah Trott recovered from feeling faint, and Matt James continued handing out the remaining five roses. Queen Victoria Larson received a rose, and Matt sent home Alana Milne, Illeana Pennetto, Kristin Hopkins, Marylynn Sienna, and Sydney.
This week’s dates included a group date and one very romantic one-on-one date. The first group date had a guest appearance from Bachelor alum Ashley Iaconetti. The ladies had to write and read aloud their fictional love story with Matt. The stories were sexual, a bit graphic, and had everyone blushing and laughing.
The after-party was going well until Sarah, who wasn’t on the group date, stole Matt away from the group. Half of the women hadn’t chatted with Matt yet, so no one appreciated Sarah’s surprise visit. After finishing her talk with Matt, Sarah apologized to the ladies, and they were not happy. There was some confrontation, not everyone had time with Matt, and Rachael Kirkconnell received the group date rose.
The next day, before Matt and Serena Pitt left for their date, Matt spent more time with Sarah. Matt told Sarah he had real feelings for her and would continue checking in with her. She proceeded to continue hiding out in her room after Matt left for his date.
Matt and Serena P.’s date started with a scenic horseback ride. They shared a meat and cheese board picnic-style while having an intimate conversation. The house drama overshadowed Serena’s date, but her date with Matt went very well, and they formed a stronger connection.
The drama continued at the hotel when Sarah finally decided to apologize to the women. No one accepted her apology, and Sarah continued to ostracize herself from everyone the next day. Katie Thurston approached Sarah, and Sarah said she had decided to leave. Unfortunately, Sarah struggled with many aspects of her time on the show, including losing out on time with her dad, who has a terminal illness.
Sarah met with Matt to say goodbye. He tried to get her to stay because he didn’t want her to leave, but Sarah said she wasn’t ready. Matt walked her out, and she left the hotel in a very emotional manner.
The next episode of The Bachelor is Monday, Jan. 25th, on ABC at 8 PM EST!
