It’s official: The Bachelorette contestant Zac Clark is a total sweetheart.

On social media, he’s paying tribute to the woman he claims saved his life before he decided to seek treatment for drug abuse. And yes, it’s a must-read.

The season 16 contestant showed some major love to the woman he now calls his “angel” on Instagram after the two had an incredibly heartwarming reunion. In the lengthy and lovely shoutout, Zac got personal, recapping the moment where everything changed for him when someone he barely knew taught him “a valuable life lesson.”

Through Rhonda Jackson’s brief but significant actions in a pivotal moment for Zac, she reminded him to “always do the right thing” when he needed to remember it most.

In case you missed it, Zac initially opened up about the moment he met Rhonda Jackson to Tayshia Adams on the show. The 36-year-old contestant described a particularly dark period in his life when he was on drugs. At the time he met Rhonda, Zac was on the verge of stealing money from his father and was hitting rock bottom. Jackson, the bank teller who happened to be working that day, intervened by calling his dad.

When his dad showed up for him, Zac says the whole experience opened his eyes and he suddenly knew “it was time.” He revealed to Tayshia that it was the sudden moment of clarity he needed, and Rhonda’s actions were the catalyst to him seeking treatment.

From the caption, it’s clear he’s incredibly grateful for their special bond. Now an addiction specialist, Zac shared some of what he’s learned, thanks to Rhonda, writing:

"In a world that is filled seemingly with so much apathy, Rhonda Jackson taught me a valuable life lesson. Always treat people with love, always believe and always do the right thing. You never know whose life you might be saving. Thank you, Rhonda for saving my life. There are no coincidences…."

We’ll see how much farther Zac makes it on The Bachelorette with the two-night finale next week!
