There’s no doubt about it, The Bachelorette‘s Riley Christian is a truly great guy, even if he’s not the guy for Tayshia Adams.

From the looks of it, he’s okay with that. Or at least, he’s coping pretty well. Because according to the 30-year-old former contestant’s recent social media post, he’s not bitter at all. In fact, he’s totally grateful for Tayshia and the experience.

In case you missed it, Riley went home after an important conversation with Tayshia on Monday. As noted by Refinery 29, Tayshia explained that she didn’t want to take it to the next level and meet his family if she wasn’t feeling it as much as she was with her other relationships.

In the heartbreaking moment, Riley at first seemed a bit defensive, but ultimately he respected her decision. In the end, they did have a connection, of course, but Tayshia admitted that it just wasn’t strong enough, especially with so little time left to decide and too many great guys left.

On Twitter, the season 16 contestant shared where he’s at and how he’s doing, now that his journey on The Bachelorette has come to an end. In the very sweet tweet below, Riley wrote, “Tay helped me become a better man. That’s just the way it is. She’s unbelievable. And I’m a lucky man to have met her.”

Fans online were quick to notice the post-Bachelorette message. On Reddit, one user shared Riley’s tweet and wrote, “This man is everything” followed by a crying emoji face and a red heart.

Right away, many seemingly agreed. One person responded with, “I love Riley. Where has he been all my life?!” Another said, “His exit was incredible, i have so much respect for Riley. I would love to see him as the next bachelor after Matt.”

It goes without saying that Tayshia was just as lucky to meet Riley, and we’re sure she knows it as well. Even though he didn’t win her heart, Riley has definitely won over many fans. Thanks to his exit, Men Tell All appearance, and post-breakup message for “Tay” on Twitter, more and more fans are saying that maybe Riley should be the next Bachelor, after Matt James, of course. And maybe they’re right!
