Bachelorette: Zac Clark confesses truth about The Bachelorette casting

Zac Clark has become a favorite on The Bachelorette season 16 and it seems fans have his sister to thanks for getting Zac cast on the show. 

Season 16 hasn’t been the most traditional season of The Bachelorette what with the season featuring two separate Bachelorettes, but like with every season there have been a handful of fan-favorite bachelors to emerge so far.

While the first episodes of the season — i.e. Clare Crawley‘s portion of the season — were very heavy on Dale Moss, one bachelor who has gotten fans talking from the beginning has been addiction specialist Zac Clark. The laid-back Jersey native flew under the radar during the early episodes of the season before becoming a full-blown frontrunner once Tayshia Adams took over as the season’s new Bachelorette.

Fans can’t get enough of Zac’s sweet and grounded demeanor, making him one of the clear favorites from season 16. However, as it turns out, Zac would have never made it to The Bachelorette mansion without the help of his sister

While season 16 is still underway, ABC is already looking ahead to the next season of The Bachelorette and has begun pushing out casting calls including several advertised during the most recent episode of the season. The promos seemed to have caught the attention of Zac Clark, who took to Twitter to reveal the surprising truth about how he came to be part of the season 16 cast.

As it turns out, it was Zac’s sister who jumped to action and submitted Zac for consideration for this season.

Taking to Twitter, Zac shared a sweet and hilarious text exchange with his sister Kathyrn which began with an interesting hunt for answers about Zac’s height and weight — apparently two needed pieces of information to be considered by Bachelorette producers.

While Zac happily offered up his stats, his curiosity was piqued leading him to ask what his sister was up to which is when she revealed she was submitting an application for The Bachelorette. So just how did Zac react?

In the most Zac way of course: with a sweet message of support and reminder to have fun. “Lol, better be funny. Have fun,” Zac wrote.

Although it might have started as a joke, we love that he followed through and have to give props to his sister for helping Zac get onto the show because we can’t imagine the season without him!
