The Bachelorette Season 16: Bachelor Odds after Week 5
By Bachelor Bob
The Bachelorette Season 16: Paradise All-Stars
These guys won’t be winning it all, but they’ll be sure to make a splash (lol, get it?) in Paradise.
9. Ed (10-1)
I truly don’t think I could pick Ed out of a lineup of nineteen men. I don’t know how he’s still on this show. I don’t know why I still have him in the top ten. I guess I just remember thinking that he would be a lock for Paradise, so I had to keep him in the ‘Paradise All-Stars’ section? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
8. Chasen (10-1)
7. Jordan C. (10-1)
6. Ivan (8-1)
Ivan and Tayshia seemed to hit it off in the limited time that we saw them together. This excites me because I bought Ivan stock very early in the season even though I still don’t know a single thing about him outside of the fact that he’s an aeronautical engineer who plays chess.
I wonder if he’s watched The Queen’s Gambit. If not, he and Tayshia would really enjoy it. Could be a good one-on-one date! Binge watch a seven-episode miniseries in the hotel room. Might make great television. Wow, I should be a producer.
Anyway, I’m glad to see him on the rise here. I really do think he’ll keep it up, at least for the next few weeks.
5. Noah (5-1)
Noah’s tumble in the rankings isn’t really his fault. It might honestly be his stache’s fault though. I’m guessing that production just wanted to ease us into him because his stache is a pretty horrifying sight. No one wants to see that, Noah. You look like Pornstache from Orange is the New Black. Not the look I’d choose in an attempt to win the heart of Tayshia Adams.
The Bachelorette Season 16: Hometown Heroes
These guys are definitely making it to hometowns. I’m not sure how hometowns are going to work during The Bachelorette Season 16. Maybe a PowerPoint about the town with family calling in via Zoom? Regardless, these guys are the odds-on favorites to take home the final rose.
4. Ben (5-1)
3. Zac C (5-1)
2. Spencer (5-1)
Spencer had quite an impression on Tayshia. For a second there, I thought she was going to pull a Clare and just leave engaged (basically) night one. She was straight up swooning over this guy. I honestly can’t even remember anything about him other than the fact that Tayshia liked him so much. The jury’s out on Spencer, but if he’s good enough for Tayshia, he’s good enough for me.
1. Brendan (3-1)
Brendan came out of nowhere. This was the fifth episode and I literally had no idea who this guy was until his one-on-one date (HOW did he get a one-on-one date????). People have joked that they thought Brendan and Zac C. were the same person.
I won’t go that far, but goodness gracious, did he kick things off with a bang. He and Tayshia connected on so many levels, it was like it was right out of a movie. After a first date like that, the sky is the limit and Brendan is currently the favorite to win Tayshia’s heart.
*Not Ranked: Eazy
Trigger Warning: Eazy emerged as an early fan favorite, but starting midway through the premiere, allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman emerged on Twitter and Reddit. Allegedly there have been attempts made to contact Bachelorette production and legal action has been taken. While we’re still learning the details and cannot confirm the veracity of these allegations, we believe it’s important to err on the side of believing women and have therefore chosen to leave Eazy off our power rankings indefinitely.
We’ve had almost two full hours to watch Tayshia interact with these men. Who do you think she connected with? Who are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
Tune in to watch Tayshia continue her journey to find love on Tuesday, 11/17 at 8/7c on ABC!
